Music Project: Mega Man - The Wily Wars 1 - The Redux

What is this, you might ask? Well, The Wily Wars was a Genesis game that had the games Mega Man 1-3 in it, with upgraded graphics and music. This project is to say, what if there was a Wily Wars 2? Now, I may not be making the actual game, but I am making the music. I will post updates as this comes along, and when I complete one game, I will post that game's soundtrack.The only thing I need that I do not have: Epic album art, of course. (SoundFont created by The 8th Bit.)

Alright, I had a listen to all the songs. The only ones that really stood out to me was MM4 Stage Select and Flame Man.

I applaud your effort into the project, but too many of these songs lack any sort of flavor, kick, tone. Overall, it just lacks feel. Listen to some Wily Wars music, take notice how the songs have flavor. There is a kick and life to them. They aren't dull and lifeless. Sadly too many of these songs pass from mehish to downright terrible. Take MM6 Final Boss for example. The actual song is extremely soft while this random beat thing keeps popping in out of the song to steal the show. I have no idea why it's there but it does nothing but distract. some songs like Tomahawk are in desperate need of more instruments and more kick. The real song has lots of it, but this remix has just dry. The random cymbal banging also feels completely out of place.

All in all, good work, but this needs work to truly be Wily Wars 2. Listen closer to the original Wily Wars to see what I mean.

I haven't given these a listen, but I have a request I'd kind of like to see.  I've never played Wily Wars, but to my knowledge, the entire Proto Man Whistle was not composed for the end credits.  There was only a four-second jingle, that was pretty "meh" in my opinion.  May I request that you redo Proto Man's Whistle in the Genesis style?

Wily Wars was cool. It's the only game I have a ROM for on Genesis. I don't even have any of the Mortal Kombats or Sonics on there.

I'm working on improving, but also on the Wily Wars 3 soundtrack! Basically it's like Wily Wars 2, except for Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, and Mega Man and Bass. I completed the first part of it (MM7) and the link can be seen on the first post.
