Title: [Music] The YouTube&More 8-Bit* Music Store
Post by: -RanRan on June 16, 2011, 11:25:15 PM
While making my maps for the HiFn MainStream (http://cutstuff.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=1873), I have been looking on internet resources for tracks I know and love in 8-Bit Format. The majority of these are Remixes from the original versions, and it will only give the link for the Remixs and the author's main site. If you wish to find the originals, I suggest Google. 'Tis Powerful.

This will be an on-going project of mine, one I'll be tackling alone in finding music that can be used in MM8BDM. While the music that has been created is not mine, I do take credit in finding them, and the credit for looping them goes to ThatGuy74.

*Download One: Sendspace Original (http://www.sendspace.com/file/k086gi)

*Mirror: Mediafire (http://www.mediafire.com/?m3g09v09xe99dj1)
(click to show/hide)

*Not All Track may be 8-bit, but I do try to aim for it. There's a few secret tracks in every download. Try and figure out what they are..Or not.
*That's also if I don't get lazy. Secrets be hard to keep, yo. :T

Interesting!

They will loop, yes?

Hopefully, if they work correctly. Once I'm sure all of them will loop if left to play endlessly, the Download link will go up.

Bump. DL2 is done earlier than scheduled and will be updated as the dates change.

TG planned on looping tomorrow, and will send me the product to distribute.

Bump. 8BitRemixs - DL2 is produced, and both the original and mirror is up.

Also, I will run a poll to determine if I should stick with one mirror, or several.

Some of the secret tracks I added myself. A few you might reconize as I'm sure I've stereo mix'd a few of em in a call. 08, 07, 06, and 05 are Mushashi's works.
04 is djklonez (sp?)
03 is Branflakes325.
Have fun guessing them, but try not to spoil them here.

Harly@Chuggafan1:-Ran gave me permission to comment this one myself.
This version is more 8-bit than Doom's D_Rave. Also, this tends to fit the 8BDM server more than something that isn't styled 8Bit.

-Ran@Chuggafan1:That being said, you don't have to use Doom's Version. Or mine, for that matter. Just accept we have two now. That is all. :D

ya know, I happen to have several 8-bit tunes I've found on YT over the years. Granted, most of em are wrestling tunes, but still if you're interested, pm me and I'll send em to ya in a PK3 file.

Most of the songs in pack 2 aren't 8 bit but that's not what I'm here to complain about. A lot of the songs in pack 2 are very quiet. I had to manually increase the volume for most of them. Try testing them in mm8bdm to see what their volume is, then adjust it.

I do not adjust the volumes of most of these. Many of these have a sound I can naturally hear, and the majority of the time my setting for sound in game isn't at 30%. If the song turns out low, I'll ask TG to raise it and we'll redistribute.

But this isn't a widespread problem, so we won't be in this case.

If it sounds low to you, I would first adjust the client settings for sound, before upping the external speakers.

Bump for the night.
Within the next five days, I will begin prepping for DL3 for the YT&M Set list.

If you wish to send in a request for anything you believe will be good to be 8-Bit'd, leave it here.
