Mega Man Battle Network : Execute Virus Busting!
What is this mod?
I noticed a distinct lack of dedicated Battle Network mods so I think it's about time that someone fixes that. This mod plans on recreating the signature Battle Network fighting system. This includes the teleportation movement, chargeable buster, and battle chips. Along with this, you'll see signature viruses like Canodumbs and Mettaurs. It's a pretty simple mod concept.
Current Features:
Battle Network styled movement system.
Chargeable EXE Buster.
Different layouts of Canodumb viruses.
9 different music options that the game randomly chooses from.

Credits:
Dimpsy - Several Battle Network assets and sprites.
TheMod - I borrowed a few assets from this mod as well such as Zomo's BN health.
SmashBrosPlusB - He gave me the Canodumb sprites along with helping me test a few things.
ForteGigasGospel - He sent me the music rips.
Valo - Created the original MegaMan.EXE sprites.

So although I said the focus on this mod is for singleplayer, I kinda wanted to see if I could at least get it functioning in multiplayer with one person. Sort of a high score system on who could clear the most waves. So here's just a super quick patch I made which should theoretically spectate the losing player and let the next person in rotation give it their go. There are absolutely no differences between these two versions aside from this fact, so the initial version still works fine.

Anyway, for progress on the singleplayer version, I've got a working chip selection screen minus the actual database for chips and some other small details.

The Canodumb's cursor can hit Megaman before the whole thing has actually encompassed him. For example, Megaman can be on the back square and the cursor will sense him just as it's leaving the middle square. It's a bit confusing for people who've played a BN game in the past/me.
I originally had the cursor where you had to be dead in the center for it to affect you, but from the Discord test, people told me that made it a bit too easy to dodge as you could just move forward through it. I'll try increasing the hitbox a bit though so it has to be closer to the center.
So out of curiosity will there be Boss-like viruses or things like Flashman.exe and others related to that?
As soon as I get the chip selection system and a few more viruses made, I definitely want to recreate some of the boss fights such as MagnetMan.EXE
