Dose anyone know what ever happened to sprites inc? for some reason the website no longer works, did they shut it down? Is the site having issues?

Ever had a moment where something just up and breaks on you?

I was using my main mouse on the computer, but sometimes the left click messes up, so I decided to use the newer one my bro bought, a day later, the scroll wheel breaks, so I went back to my main one, 2 days later, THAT one breaks on me, and that's not the 1st time I had that situation, back then, me and my bro were playing ssb, right when I was about to win, the joystick breaks on my N64 controller, later my neighbor's son was at my house playing super mario 64 with my bro's, he was having trouble with a part so he asked me for help, 30 seconds after I was given the controller, guess what!? That one breaks too

What is the most insane challange in a game you've ever tried or in the process of doing

I made a rather odd challange for myself, try to beat majora's mask with no heart peices, side quest masks, no side quests, or upgrades (huge bomb bag, huge wallet, large quiver, etc,), and using deku link as much as possible.
At the moment, I'm trying to get into the great bay temple, it is extreamly annoying to get all the eggs with only 1 bottle, not to mention getting past security with no stone mask, so far I only have this to say, deku link is EXTREAMLY underated, he can easily tear through a crowd of enemies taking little to no damage, not even fire breathing enemies are a threat

Many of you have heard of capcom's new resident evil game, and how capcom removed replay value by fixing it so you can't erase or overwrite your save file.
How do you all feel about this?

On a related note about Inafune's 1up interveiw quoting him loosely "We should follow the west's lead and start creating downloadeable games and stop focusing on consol games, but the problem is, japanese people have too much pride", Inafune was on to something, when you think about it, downloaded games have very little negative impact on sales as downloaded games are near imposable to resale

some people play video games and suddenly come accross something that scares the crap them, but in reality arent really that scarey, post things that scared you for some reason

I'll start

The death music in the NES Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles game always scares the crap out of me, its extreamly sudden, loud, then goes away as quickly as it came

The intro music when you run into entei or raikou always makes me (and several others) jump out of my seat when I'm not expecting it

And lastly, In Ocarina of Time, if you decide to jump in the pool inside of the lake Hylia lab with irom boots and sink, you'll see metal bars with a still image of a shark on the other side, when I 1st saw that, I gotten the heck out of there and was scared to go near it for a while XD silly me, sharks can't hurt me behind bars if they're made of paper

Some people have moments when they have a crazy dream and they suddenly say something really random when they wake up, post the crazy things you or a friend said 1st thing they wake up

I'll start

I had a dream were I was in the marioverse eating a mushroom, suddenly I wake up from my alarm clock going off, the 1st thing I yelled was "I'M HUGE!"

another one was my bro, 1st thing he said when he woke up was "Soda Popinski"

Maps / What makes a good ctf map?

I've been aware of lack of ctf maps and I've seen alot of complaints on some maps due to stuff like weapon placement, weapon choice, lack of difficulty when going to the other base. I've been thinking of doing a ctf map myself (using airman textures AHAHAHAH! but really I found a solution), and Ive been wondering, what DOSE make a good ctf map? Maby new mappers can learn from this topic and impliment this information  into their maps.


I'll start, do not, I repeat do not place power weapons near the bases in easily accessable places, make people work for them, a good example is "edge of dam" power weapons like rolling cutter and ballade cracker require you to go out of your way to get them while weaker items are more easily aquired, also please refrain from adding wind storm, skull barrier, hyper bomb, time stopper, charge kick, centaur flash, flash stopper(?), and in some cases, gravity hold and top spin as they will needlessly draw out matches or just outright break the game, also try to avoid adding eddie as he can and will give those weapons.

also quick question, why isnt spark shock in any ctf maps? It seems to be a pretty good weapon, average speed, weak damage and it makes a very good assist weapon.

Ive been hearing that some people lagg/crash with software mode but others with open GL, basicly I want to ask the community, which mode works better for you and why the other dosen't

I prefer software mode, when ever I use open GL, I always get rappid lagg spikes and if I'm on a stage with water, I'm pretty much a fish, I cannot leave the water or I'll either suffer MASSIVE lagg or crash making some matches unplayable, also some textures are blurred (cutter despenser in cutmans, walls on airman)

forgot to add, what computer are you using?

I have a windows vista desktop

Projects & Creative / MM enemy classes V1a rerelase

this project is now for fun, if you're interested in creating a enemy class, create it and send it in, I'm also looking for testers when this comes out

1 rule, it has to be able to move, no turret enemies or anything that can't move, also no fortress bosses, sub bosses can be used though, so good news, moby is in

special (no alt this time): when you stand still you will be invulnerable (also allows you to survive pitfalls and any instant death terrain, but useless as once you move or fire, you're dead)
Changes: Lowered the shot spawn height and player veiw height, now you'll feel more like a short guy, Ive also added custom shot sprites and added the mm1 fireing sound, and I fixed the walking animation, before it played the walking animation then went to idle and back (didnt change the speed yet, I'll do that once testing come around)

Bigeye:
Attack: jump, jumps straight forward crushing anything under you
alt: high jump, same as mainfire only higher

Watcher:
attack: shoots 2 beams
special: Can fly

As some people have heard, me and Ashley are creating a pokemon stadium mod. I've created pokemon monsters with weaknesses and attack types and Ive created the psychic (ringman) gym.

Have you ever had a moment where you some how pull off something hilariouse while playing megaman?

Heres mine.
I was fighting Ringman and I was charging a pharoah shot, we both only had 1 hit left and he jumps into me killing me, then 2 seconds later, he jumped into the fire ball killing himself.
