Music Lists
« on: November 30, 2012, 07:01:02 AM »
If you're anything like me, you've often wondered where to find the music codes for WADs like CSCM.

I can help with AMP:

AMP:

D_TTFTW = cs188 - BA... NANANA
D_RAVE = The Genesis Projection - At the end we talk in Italian

Track_B = Fighter X - Megaforce (The Afterlife Touch)
Track_1 = Fighter X - HyperGiant
Track_2 = Fighter X - Finsher 3000
Track_3 = Fighter X - FE Powered!
Track_4 = Fighter X - Sparking!
SOUNMUS = Robert Seaton - Megaman Returns - SoundMan Theme
STIMUS = DarkAura - MMX Sting Chameleon's theme 8-bit
MMRBOSS = Robert Seaton - Megaman Returns - Boss Theme
BATMAN = Batman - Return of the Joker (NES) - Boss Theme Music
FBZA2 = Daniel White (Danooct1) - Flying Battery Zone Act II 8-bit
CURELVL3 = Fighter X - Cure lvl. 3
NOWROCK = Fighter X - Now Rock
R07 = Fighter X - R07
TINKER = Fighter X - Fun In Tinker Town
FIL8BIT = Rockman 4MI - Pharaohman Stage (Actraiser - Fillmore)

If anyone has more in-depth music code lists, I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one to appreciate it.

I'm not entirely sure that was necessary to post the music list, but thanks for reminding me that I absolutely sucked at naming music files back then. Most music I use nowadays follows the TRACK_ format. For example, that new ctf map I made for v3a is using Track_C2 as music. Or maybe it was just Track_C. Not sure which.
Anyways, I've always wanted to know the music codes for Saxton Hale. I'll probably check it out myself tomorrow and post it here.

I think this would help, and I know alot of people want to know, so today feels more efficient.
Put them in without the quotes.

Saxton Hale:

"CAVMUS" is Cave Johnson
"DIFSMUS" is Scrooge
"GILGMUS" is Gilgamesh
"GOSMUS" is Starman V2
"MILMUS" is Robo Christian Brutal Sniper
"TSUTMUS" is Period Pissed off Roll
"SLENMUS" is Slenderman
"ZEPPMUS" is RaThor Reborn (I believe that's his name)
"SAXTMUS" is YOUR TEAM IS DEAD, GOOD LUCK

and forgotteningly:
"NEOMUS" is that semi noncreative NeoDS

You can find all the music codes for any wad (including the core game pk3) by opening the file in Slade3.

You can also rename or replace the said files yourself. Or delete them. (Deleting music files has no effect on the gameplay, other than displaying an error message in the console whenever the music file is triggered.)

Another method of finding music codes is to modify a program called XMPlay, with a plugin to play wads (should be around the site/google somewhere). This also allows for playback of music inside wads, which is pretty neat if you have any music wads lying around.
