Help & Editing / Wads don't work anymore for me.

After testing a few things on Mac MM8BDM i reverted to my old version of wineskin and went on a server. For some reason the message popped up on startup saying "couldn't open C:/MM8BDM//"insert wad here."
Success."
It loads the 1st wad on a server, but not the others. This also happens on starting up on the MM8BDM Launcher. Any help will be appreciated, as Wineskin is just an emulation of the .exe file. I wanna say something went corrupted when i reverted back to my original settings after the testing.

EDIT:I redownloaded all of the mm8bdm files, and that still doesn't work.

MM8BDM Discussion / How'd Racing become popular?!

Last night on my server, 15 people went on my server and played Classes on race mode. (Sunset Canyon on the X-pack) Apparently everyone had a good time...except when lag killed everyone, but a good time nonetheless. It did seem repetitive since there was only one race map. What I learned is that a Race mode does have some potential of becoming a popular mode, maybe not Roboenza popular or Classes popular at the height of their popularity. So I guess what I'm saying is to people that can host, race mode is another "Let's play this because I don't feel like playing this mode."  Having Classes combined with race mode does make it feel like an actual racing game...with more death of course. We would need more race maps before any of that can be accomplished.

Help & Editing / Hosting on DoomSeeker help

I wonder if there's a way to host on Doomseeker? I have tried to on numerous occasions and I think my problem with hosting is on the "Executable" box on the host a server window. Using MM8BDM as the executable just leads to the Launcher, and no server is made. I have tried Skulltag in the executable box, but that either makes the screen go black, or crashes Skulltag all together.

Yes, I can host servers on the Launcher.

Is there another way of hosting besides the Launcher and DoomSeeker?
Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Can Dookseeker even host MM8BDM servers?

Help & Editing / Text Scaling Help

I want to make the fonts for the messages, user, or whatever, bigger. However, when I try to do this with the Text Scalar, the font doesn't look quite right and seems uneven. (very noticeable when compare two of the same letters or numbers next to each other)

Are there any tips on scaling the font?
Can someone tell me what the unscaled font's aspect ratio (or whatever it's called) is so I can try to make it bigger?
Is there a neat width and height number you use?

EDIT: If it helps, the aspect ratio of my screen is 16:10

I was wondering how Messatsu can make server events, and I want to try it to. My question is where do you enter the numbers to mess with the physics in the game?
DBZ  mode is fun!

UPDATE: There are no Ice physics in DBZ mode. I checked.
SV_GRAVITY
SV_AIRCONTROL (set at 0)
SV_FASTWEAPONS (set at 1)
I believe that's all you need. However, AIRCONTROL seems to turn off after every match, but the other ones don't. Is there a way for AIRCONTROL to stay on?

Now, this brings up a new question. Is there any other codes that can be put in the console that can change the physics?
