Roller provides great terrain control at the cost of being a melee, which, in a game dominated by more ranged attacks than melee, is surprising on how well it does. It also can't really paint walls. It's -very- quick 2 shot makes it deadly if for some reason you decide to get in melee range while you're ranged.
+3 terrain +1 range

Both machine gun styled loadouts are more on the balanced side of things, providing both terrain control and kill potential. They're great, not much else to say.
+2 terrain +2 range

Charger/Sniper kills effectively at a distance(Keeping people on respawn timers) while not providing much terrain control. Sneak attacks or just outright ignoring where they're located makes them ineffective. I mean, they won't be contributing much paint so >_>
+1 terrain +3 range

I'd grade killing but they all kill really well.
There's also grenades which destroy any demo-loadout.

So yes, Roller has become the new Little Mac.

I TOLD YOU GUYS
BUT YOU DIDN'T LISTEN

Whenever a Roller came after me, I shot the wall, jumped on and hid until they passed. I was able to get the drop on them numerous times that way, minimizing the amount of inkage they could slather about nearby. With the Splattershot, cleaning up their mess was an easy affair. Rollers are really only problematic if you don't see them coming--advanced notice lets you plan around them. They look OP at a glance, but it's circumstantial at best.

I could see a roller being considered really good in Turf War simply because of how much land it can cover in paint in a short amount of time, but outside of that it only seems alright.

THE GAME LAUNCHES WITH ONLY TURFWAR

Roller is useful, but is easily countered if you have any semblance of knowing what you're doing.

The Roller is overrated. ( Still awesome )

Blaster is Master
It is like  Shotgun with exploding leads. I doesnt have a good Rate of Fire & you wont Ink your Turf fast.
But you have a Splatter that doesnt needs to be charged, Does Dmg over ledges & walls in one Big Splat.
And your Ink Holds for very long.
Id go for High Defence + Swim Speed.
Its like im playing Max Payne.(Swim>Jump>Shot>Swim>Jump>Shot)
I nearly end up everytime at the Enemys Turf, because they cant help against a One-Shot coming out of Nowhere

Classic Squiffer is awesome too
Here its High Defence + Run Speed (You even have Bubbler, if the enemys get annoyed)
You have to charge, thats bad right. (The Charge Time is laughable)
But People good at Swaying Shots will love this. Just Point out for it.
Dont get irritated this weapon is not for Snipes, it is for Melee Combat.

Well i like Shotguns and those 2 Weapons are pretty much like #1 AA12 or Jackhammer &
#2 Pump Action Benelli, in terms of Rate of Fire & Spread

So far I've pretty much just been using the Splattershot Jr., the .52 Gal, and the Krak-On Roller. Can't use chargers to save my life.

Been mostly using Aerospray...the not gold one. That one seems more popular, but I like the seekers too much to abandon them. Might switch out when Ranked is unlocked later tonight (along with a new weapon and map, get hype already) but for now I just really like the rapid fire weapon.

I've been alternating between the Kelp Splat Charger (mostly for the Sprinkler sub) and the Jet Squelcher. Usually I focus on beating back the other team while the rest of my team inks the place up, and it usually works. I like to think I can use chargers pretty well, but I could definitely use more practice.

Can't use rollers to save my life, though. I hate 'em.

I've been using the splatterscope mostly. The improved aiming capability is a nice helper for my mediocre aiming skills, and grenades splat bombs are #1 top tier sub weapon in my eyes.
I gave the splattershot pro a try once. It didn't go so well.

I'm quite fond of the standard .52 gal set, myself.  The splash wall compliments the playstyle of the weapon and really allows the user to hunker down and defend an area very efficiently.  Ran the Aerospray RG for a while and did well but it's hard to use that weapon and feel good.

Tried the dynamo roller.  It's really slow.  The echolocator is great for it, though.

I'm very surprised that nobody bothered to post about the huge August update which came out recently or about the Splatfests.

Are you squidding me???
