Mad Max Madson
"I reject your reality and substitute my own!"
Appearance: Max is a human male in his early twenties standing at slightly above average height. He usually wears a black leather jacket over a red t-shirt, with black jeans and grey sneakers. He has dark black hair, usually greased back with an excessive amount of hair gel. On his hands are silver metal gloves that go up a bit above his wrists.
Personality: Max puts up a wall between himself and other people who actively attempt to interact with him. In spite of all that he does for people around him, he never accepts gratitude or praise, simply walking away from any attempts at thanking him. In combat, however, a much different side comes through. He taunts and laughs at his opponents, and has a generally cocky attitude. He's quick to anger when losing, and occasionally takes unnecessary risks out of showmanship when he's winning. This side of him usually disappears within a few minutes after a fight, though it can last several hours if the fight was intense. Even in the Duel Dome, he tries to KO his opponent rather than kill them. If he manages to befriend someone in the ring, he'll be a lot more open with them out of it.
Backstory: Max was born and raised in Tinilo City. He came from a long line of biologists, and his parents were both research assistants in a bio lab in the heart of the city. They attempted to instill in him a love for biological science, but he instead grew to love physics. His parents, enraged with this 'slander of the family name,' removed him from the house and forced him to live life on the streets. He quickly got caught up in a great deal of crime and trouble that culminated in him stealing a pair of reality-warping gloves. Rather than giving them to the person who requested this of him, he kept them for himself and used them to defeat the gang he had been caught up in. It was around this time that the Duel Dome opened up, and he travelled there to become a competitor. He currently holds a high ranking there, even becoming champion from time to time. When he isn't fighting there, he performs investigations on anomalous crimes for the Tinilo police department, stopping them if possible.
Powers/Abilities: Max's gloves allow him to skew physical laws and concepts in various forms, though only for a second or so per use. This gives him a wide range of abilities, but he tends to focus on just a few, those being:
Inertia removal: Max makes himself stop instantly, or makes an opponent accelerate far faster than they should.
Unequal reaction: Max can increase or decrease the force of a physical reaction, causing his opponent's next step to not take them as far as it should, or causing his next punch or kick to hit much harder than it should.
Normal force increase: Max can increase normal force to overcome gravitational force, which can launch his opponent into the ceiling or give himself a much higher jump.
Removal of friction
Focusing and launching light
Allowing things to phase through each other
These powers can be used in approximately a five meter range; if the opponent is beyond that range, he either accelerates himself into range or starts throwing things.
I might add more powers later

Dude I have been putting this off forever but I am finishing this now
(click to show/hide)
"The whole idea sounds positively ludicrous, exceedingly dangerous, and altogether preposterous. Any man of a more conservative and prudent nature would denounce it as 100 percent suicidal. But they are overlooking one crucial aspect... it is filled to the bloody brim with
adventure!
And me, old chap? I
breathe
for adventure!"
Name:
Wingman
Walter
Winderly
Appearance:
Walter is outfitted in a blue and orange pilot suit, with a blue pilot cap lined with orange detail. He has his flying goggles constantly on his head, putting them down when flying. A white scarf billows past his square jaw, and his face features a lush and full mustache and a flashy smile almost always plastered on. He is of a thinner build, with his hands covered by thick brown gloves and a belt featuring a fencing sword holster. Most of his body suit is blue, with an orange breastplate and orange shoulder pads over it. They both have blue target symbols on him. His boots match his gloves and are specially outfitted to absorb the shock of jumping from high places, because Walter likes doing that.
Personality:
Possessing all of the qualities of an impeccable British gentleman and adventurer extraordinaire, Walter is overbearingly polite and rather old-fashioned. The kind of fighter who would break for tea with you after nearly killing you, he is overly trusting and often blithely unaware of any ill will toward him. His speech is always dotted with "chaps" and "fellows", along with plenty of other classic British euphemisms. He possesses an unquenchable thirst for adventure, and will pursue any and all opportunities to slake it, no matter the danger. He is also somewhat of an airhead, often lapsing into unbreakable thoughts.
Backstory:
Much of Walter's true past is ambiguous, given his tendency to embellish his life experiences. His most consistent story paints a tale of him as a rather poor city kid who enjoyed visiting the airport and watching the planes take off. His grandfather was formerly a pilot for his country's air force, and his war stories inspired Walter to chase the same kind of thrill that his grandfather had. He became an expert pilot, amassing a rather impressive collection of planes using the money he received from exploring the world. Over the years he has amassed plenty of tales from his myriad of adventures. While he is known to sprinkle some creative liberties into his reports, nearly all of the ones he recounts are more or less true. His accounts of single-handedly repressing an alien invasion, though? That one's not true.
Weapons/Abilities:
The Power Of Winds
: Walter has picked up quite the extensive knowledge of air-based magic, infusing it into his sword. He is able to call upon plenty of powerful wind attacks, but his rather haphazard use of them has led to quite comical situations when they misfire.
Fancy Fencer
: Walter is quite good at fencing, and is adept at using it in regular combat.
Expert Pilot
: Walter is an absolutely marvelous pilot, able to fly almost anything. He is also quite efficient at crash-landing, boasting a 19% casualty rate over his career.
Style Points
: One of Walter's most beloved activities is coming up with completely inane ways to carry out attacks. His outlandish fighting style leads to a multitude of off-the-wall offensive strategies, often making use of random objects.
Other
:Walter seems to be the only one of the mercenaries in CSA2 who actually considers all of the other team members friends. That crocodile fellow has been quite rude to him as of late, however...
Fuck this took forever

get hype for something kind of dumb
I've been tossing around ideas for a music-based dude for a while and this is what stuck with me
(click to show/hide)
Name
: Vargan Adante
"We're all here to have a good time, right? ...Right?"
Appearance
: Vargan is tan-skinned and tall in stature. His round face is dominated by strikingly white eyes; their color tends to throw off people meeting him for the first time. Vargan’s beard wraps around his jaw, meeting his short, messy black hair on the sides. He simply wears a white sweater underneath a white long coat adorned with black, horizontal dashes by the buttons (meant to resemble the keys of a piano). Aside from that, he just wears black dress pants and dress shoes.
Personality
: Vargan is an incredibly approachable and cheerful fellow. His earnest smile and welcoming stance earn him the trust of anyone who walks into his bar, the Flowing Note. As could be predicted from his coat, Vargan is a massive fan of music. He plays the piano, himself, but loves all music with an obsessive fervor. As such, he regularly hosts piano duels and almost always has some sort of live music being played inside the Flowing Note. Vargan is mostly a pacifist, but if he’s backed into a corner, he’ll (at least attempt to) put up a fight.
Backstory
: Growing up, Vargan always had an appreciation for music. He invested as much time as he could into composing, playing, and performing songs of many different genres. Though he played many different types of music, his absolute favorite was the piano. His fingers could flow across the keys like waves in the ocean, his music both soothing and invigorating. After some time and fundraising, he opened up a bar in western Sheillo called the “Flowing Note.” The bar gained popularity for its promises of good music and pretty decent food. Vargan hosts different types of music events in the bar on a regular basis and tends to participate, himself.
Weapons/Other abilities
:
Musician
: Vargan is extremely talented in the art of music. He can pick up any instrument and play any song near-first try. This also means he can play certain magical songs; some of his melodies can heal wounds or summon gusts of wind.
Piano Cannon
: Vargan carries around an odd device with a built-in MP3 player that, when a song is selected, will begin to fire projectiles of varying type and fire rate, depending on the song. For example, if a song heavy on electric guitar is chosen, the cannon will rapid-fire balls of flame. If a song more focused with violins playing long, drawn out notes, lasers will be fired instead.
Charmer
: It’s difficult to dislike Vargan. Peculiarly, anyone who hangs around him will be calmer than they would otherwise be. The cause of this phenomenon is unknown, but it’s proven to be a boon in keeping fights around him to a minimum.
Other
: This literally started as me changing my name to “Piano Duel” in a server

Made some changes to Zero. His abilities were overhauled.
Also, an idea for a location.
(click to show/hide)
Sylvan City
A city with a medieval theme, though present things exist here. There are various things to see, like a builder that builds you many things, a castle, various shops, etc. Many people here know how to build, and thus they are able to make their own houses with some materials. The city is currently located somewhere near the coast.
As it says on the location, fell free to put the location near the coast.

A location!! (along with 3 new submissions)
Location:
(click to show/hide)
Heart Station
--------
A mystical, ethereal, and interdimensional train station that exists outside universes and dimensions. It has access to many worlds, dimensions, timelines, and universes. It part of a much bigger "company", and it's main purpose is to act as a bridge between worlds and monitor them. The master of the train station is the mysterious Mr. Handy, and his assistants Dorothy Dridge and Jodien.
Appearance: The skybox is a little hard to describe, so use these two pictures as a reference.
http://33.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lphrr ... r1_500.gif
http://www.anime-evo.net/wp-content/upl ... eveiw3.jpg
The Heart Station has a rather futuristic red/pink kind of theme going on. Whenever someone enters the Heart Station, they will wake up in the
Lobby
. In the Lobby there is a desk at the end of the hall, and there are 3 escalators, the ones on the side going down and the middle going up. After going down one of the two escalators, the person will reach the
Main
part of the Heart Station, which is where are the trains reside and depart from. Heading more down the hallway will lead a path to a relatively large door. Inside the door lies the
Courtroom
, where Handy has his meetings with clients. Handy sits in the Judge's seat in the middle while Dorothy and Jodien sit on the left and right seats next to him, respectively.
How to access:
Visiting the Heart Station is relatively rare, to the point where it's existence is debated by those who have visited it and those who never have. People that have heard of it see it as nothing more than an urban legend or fairy tale. However, it is said that if you visit an abandoned train station at night, there is a chance you may hear a faint jingle. The person will then slowly fall asleep, and immediately wake up in the Heart Station.
What it does:
The Heart Station acts as a bridge between worlds, but only for exploration reasons. The place is actually rather barren, usually only the Heart Station trio being in there. This is due to the fact that having people from other timelines/dimensions go to another one is rather a big move, and is something that should be done with a ton of consideration. However, if someone truly decides to want to go to another place, they must either complete a request or bring in a unique object that cannot be found anywhere else, as the secondary purpose of the Heart Station is to act as a "museum" of sorts and collect rare objects that can only be found in one dimension, ranging from valuable minerals to even knickknacks that mean a lot to someone. There are, some rules however regarding travel.
1. A person may only travel within the world they reside in. They may travel to different timelines/versions of that world, but it cannot be /outside/ of that world or dimension. There are exceptions to this sometimes, however, depending on the situation.
2. A person has a week to return to their place of origin after arriving to the new timeline/dimension/version. After that, they'll have to stay in that world for another decade if they wish to travel back (unless they already had dimension jumping powers).
3. A person must be evaluated to see if they are eligible to travel. Usually passing this isn't so difficult, it's usually just agreeing to not do anything extremely dangerous (to the world they're going to or themselves) or else all access to the Heart Station will be cut off.
4. If a person who was born in the incorrect world or timeline (extremely rare), they will be offered an opportunity to go to the world they were supposed to be in without any catch.
5. If the person has recently undergone a traumatic experience, those memories will be suppressed so they can adjust more comfortably in the new world. The only way those memories can come back is if the person requests them at the Heart Station after adjusting or if they encounter powerful forces that resurface them.
Other:
While the Heart Station isn't necessarily a part of the world of Cutopia, it does have access to it, and the trio consider it truly to be "interesting" compared to other worlds, and often decide to explore it.
Characters:
(click to show/hide)
Mr. Handy
------
"Welcome to the Heart Station."
Appearance:
Personality:
Mr. Handy is welcoming and kind but also stern and serious as his position in being the leader and head of the Heart Station. He is also a listener, as clients of the Heart Stations sometimes have meetings with him just to hear his advice. His advice is usually unbiased and favors justice over feelings. Within the Heart Station, his word is usually final, but he can be convinced otherwise if there is good reason. He is very strict with his rules of the Heart Station, however. In casual moments, he can be a little friendly, and often talks with Jodien and Dorothy.
Backstory:
Mr. Handy is the boss of the Heart Station, the main purpose of the Heart Station serving as a connection between different worlds, timelines, and dimensions, and monitoring them. It is unknown when he started to work with the Heart Station or when he stopped aging, but apparently has over 500 years of experience. The Heart Station has a secondary purpose of collecting rare objects and preserving them so that they will forever leave a trace that these items have existed and be a part of history. As for Mr. Handy Man himself, he is rather mysterious, and not much is known about him. He usually dodges questions regarding his past and doesn't necessarily talk about it much. He often has Dorothy arrange meetings with a client whenever said client wants to see Handy Man. At some point, Handy hired Jodien to be his right-hand man, and while he says Jodien can be somewhat a bit to handle, he enjoys Jodien's company and truely appreciates him.
Weapon/Other Abilities:
(Optional)
Limited Godlike Powers
(within the Heart Station): Mr. Handy has relatively powerful godlike abilities, being able to create objects and shapes from nothing, having great healing capabilities, knowing everything that goes on within the Heart Station, and possibly more. However, his powers are limited as he is only able to use his powers within the Heart Station. Outside of it, he can't really do anything special and is pretty much regular, essentially removing everything useful about him and requiring him to avoid conflict in the first place whenever traveling outside the Heart Station.
Average Strength:
Even without his powers, Handy does have physical strength and can tank some hits. His punches and kicks hurt, but nothing like Russel.
Other:
(Optional)
Likes to come up puns with Dorothy.
(click to show/hide)
Jodien
------
"Let's see what this place has in store ~"
Appearance:
Personality:
Jodien is a very curious, sneaky, sly and ornate person, always inspecting objects and determining their worth. He is also prone to having gut feelings of people, usually suspecting if a person has certain traits to them if he gets a hunch. He's rather spunky and usually goes to exploring at the worlds the Heart Station currently has access to. He enjoys his job at attempting to acquire unique artifacts from different worlds and bringing them back to the Heart Station to preserve it's integrity. Having met all sorts of people, he can sometimes be really blunt (a trait shared by the two other members of the Heart Station) and may not really realize the impact of his words immediately. However, he may be a little more empathetic with people, sometimes. He's also known to be very effective when it comes to flattering.
Backstory:
Once being a regular human, he has accepted to become Mr. Handy's right-hand assistant and join the ethereal and interdimensional train station known as the Heart Station. After doing so, he has gained special powers granted by Mr. Handy, and he stopped aging at 19, having his life be extended for hundreds of years (but not immortal) due to his job being exploring multiple worlds. He mostly spends his days hanging around the Heart Station or doing his duty of going into whatever dimension/world/timeline he has been sent to. He considers Dorothy and Handy Man to be best friends and deeply cares about them both, but has made others friends either from meeting them in their origin world or having met them through a meeting with the Heart Station.
Weapon/Other Abilities:
(Optional)
Pocket Dimension:
Jodien has his own little pocket dimension that can store objects and can travel around with it. While traveling, it acts as if there was a square-shaped shadow traveling flat across the floor (he can use this ability to sneak underneath tight gaps and the such). However, only he himself can enter said pocket dimension, and usually if anyone else tried, it would be as if they were standing on the shadow. He's also able to launch objects stored in this space from within it to enemies (or at least, anyone who attempts to harm him.)
Disguises:
Jodien can go inside his pocket dimension and rise back out wearing a completely different outfit, allowing him to blend in certain situations or get suspicious eyes off of him.
Stored Objects:
Jodien has a variety of objects stored in his pocket dimension, having been collected from the various worlds he has visited. These objects range from combat weapons to even simple knickknacks.
Limited Healing:
There are some medical parts and equipment stored in his pocket dimension that he can use in the scenario that he (or anyone else) would ever need it.
Not So Tough:
One of Jodien's flaws is not being really physically capable himself. He is very dependent on his powers.
Other:
(Optional)
His favorite flavor of ice cream is Cookies and Cream.
He can be a little awkward sometimes, and often feels extremely embarrassed in awkward situations.
He is also known to be a little playful.
(click to show/hide)
Dorothy Dridge
------
"Yes, allow me to book an appointment for you."
Appearance:
Personality:
Dorothy has a tranquil atmosphere around her. No matter how agitated you may feel, whenever you're around her you can't but feel calm. Being the accesser of information for the Heart Station, nothing really surprises her. Personality wise, she is usually silent and impassive, but sometimes pitches in the conversation. She is also quite analytical and perceptive, often figuring things out before others do, but unsure if she should say so sometimes. She speaks speaks rather quietly, but sometimes raises her voice.
Backstory:
Dorothy isn't actually a part of the Heart Station, but was rather stationed to help Mr. Handy and Jodien by the "company" that owns the Heart Station. It is said that when she began work for the "company" and the Heart Station, she stopped aging at 20, and that so far she has around 350 years of experience. She's usually the first person visitors of the Heart Station meet. She's often sitting behind a desk in the Lobby, playing video games, watching shows, or listening to music when no one is around (which is often). She often engages in conversation with Jodien or Mr. Handy, but also sometimes makes visits to see other friends of hers. She sets up the appointments with people who wish to visit the Heart Station, and usually shows new people around.
Weapon/Other Abilities:
(Optional)
Information Access:
Dorothy can pull up a fancy GUI (something like
this
) that allows her to access information on the worlds that the trains of the Heart Station visit, or of the clients that enter the train station.
Hypnosis:
If you stare into her eyes long enough, you'll become literally hypnotised, and you'll have to do whatever command she asks you to do. Often, however, it's accidental, so she usually just says "snap out of it" or something a long the lines to eliminate the hypnosis.
Insightful:
Not really a "power", as stated, she can understand the situation of things earlier than most and can often create strategies for how to resolve them.
Other:
(Optional)
She loves fighting games, her favorite series being King of Fighters and Smash Bros.
She'll sometimes slip into singing when she listens to music, but usually feels embarrased when she's caught.
Likes to come up with puns with Mr. Handy.
Will probably revise some of this eventually (mainly the mechanics of the Heart Station)
