Ice Man is pretty close to done save for some tweaking.  Gonna go back to Cossack though since I'm now discovering what a horrible job I did in lining up the textures in that map.  /facepalm.

Also the current music list is around 45 strong I believe.

Well I do run two different Roboenza servers for this reason.  I know the maps aren't going to be everyone's cup of tea so I didn't want to force it on people.  I don't think not hosting new maps is on it's own any kind of solution, but I do think that having options is.  If people choose for whatever reason to play new maps I don't see that in itself a problem.

Heh, I think I caught a hint of Flash Man in FRESHMUS.....and now it's reminding me of the music from Disgaea.  

Somebody has a incredible talent here.

Well Bomb Man is pretty much done save for play testing and some tweaking.  Ring Man same thing.  I'm going to take a stab at Ice Man.  I've figured out the water and I have an idea I want to play with.  It's not going to be symmetrical this time.

I don't think I'm going to do the twin areas that CMM used in the original map though but who knows.

Also from CT.  Have a 22 / 5 cable connection. My ping is usually .....something that pisses a lot of people off.......oh come on the server's like 10 ft from me, waddya want?!

I used XWE to rename NOHOPE and that was it.  As long as you don't modify anything else it shouldn't cause that error.

I tried this and it doesn't quite work.  It still plays NOHOPE from roboenza but there's a simple work around.  

1.) Open up Roboenza wad and rename NOHOPE to NOHOPE2 (or anything else that's valid)
2.) Create a new WAD using Slumped or XWE and put in a song and call it NOHOPE and put the resulting WAD in your skins folder.

Since ACS calls the song NOHOPE it will pull from the (now) only available source, the new WAD you created.

Example of my music file - Forest theme from Megaman ZX (DS version, not ZX tunes) - put in skins folder
My MODIFIED Roboenza-2.wad file - nohope renamed to NOHOPE2

On a serious note, I'm gonna play around with a few ideas for Bombman.  If nobody's claimed that I might.  I'll update this post if I do intend to actually lay claim.

Edit: Yea, gimme Bomb Man, I've got something workable now.  Yea, it's going to be symmetrical...well probably.

Well I've gotten some great feedback on this.  Definitely learned a lot about Doom Builder.  So the question is should I continue updating this pack? Ideas include fixing the textures in dwdm1,2,4,  increasing the overall size of dwdm3 and updating dwdm5 to the latest version.  Maybe adding another map or so.

I was always of the opinion that zombies just had too much damn life.  It makes far more sense to run away than to fight unless you had specific weapons.  I was always thinking give zombies a slight speed boost (maybe 10-20% more than normal players) and then cut their life to about double a normal player rather than like, what, 10x for the starting zombie? Being slow with a melee attack is a pain in the ass unless you have numbers.  Once you have a lot of zombies then the surviving player has no chance at all unless they abuse geometry or specific weapons.  Just my 2 cents.

Certainly don't disagree with that; those maps are some of my favorites.  The reason for the symmetry is that the original map was symmetrical so I thought I'd preserve that aspect of it.  Of course of the overwhelming feeling is that this should change I may go back and have another look at this......while cursing all of you of course  :mrgreen:
