I usually avoid pirating because I'd rather have a hard copy of the game. There's some novelty to it that I approve of.

For example, I really want to get Pokemon SoulSilver, but I'm going to get a copy of the game despite how short in money I am lately. It wouldn't feel anywhere near as good playing in on an emulator.

But Gen 3 game and below I have played on emulator. I don't have a Game Boy or Game Boy Advance, and I'd rather not bother trying to buy one. Also played Emerald on emulator allowed me to play it under a randomizer. Had plenty of fun times there.

I'm okay with roms but I rather have the actual game on the grounds as roms tend to be very buggy or emulators just can't run a game fast enough

Ex: SSB N64 just looks horrible while DK 64 looks great but lags like hell in an open area then moves impossibly fast in a small area

so here's the synposis of that tournament I went to:
Did sorta decent in Smash 4
got bodied in Melee
did much better in friendly matches than tourney ones, probably cause nervousness

plugged my laptop into a hdtv along with someone's gamecube adaptor: kirby air ride hype

Gone to so many tournaments in the past few months.

Sadly the furthest I've gotten is winners semifinals though on Smash 4. With Palutena.

Melee I usually lose pretty early.

Im back from the festival, i neeed to relax so much...pretty hard to be "standing" behind the players to help them...for like 9 hours.....but it's so fun... (legs K.O)

Weird but, Quake 3 Arena didnt have any lag (0 ping for the 3 laptops) and with megaman 8 bit deathmatch, it was 2 or 3 ping (or less sometimes) maybe because modes can take more ressources?.... idk.....

But I actually experienced the same. While we played UT2004 on LAN there was no ping, not even on the larger stages with bots. But with MM8BDM there was always 2-4. Sometime even lagged a little. I think it is because the engine was not made for handling this high amount of data. But I don't know either. :O

I'd say it's because it was made for handling higher amount of data. I mean, it can support 32+ players and 1000+ monsters.

I see. Then the reason behind this could be only the requirements. Maybe the MM8BDM requires better PC than the UT2004. XD

I went and downloaded a Doom texture pack, took a look at the textures inside with SLADE3, came across hentai, instantly deleted the wad file... and now I have a very sick feeling in my stomach.

Nope. I was actually wanting to join in on a community project (with maps restricted to a certain size regarding playable area), and there was a texture wad, and that's where I found the hentai from.
