ULTIMATE CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT

You want it, we've got it! It's been the most played mode for over a year, so we're bringing it to the tournament scene!

Saxton Hale!

This tournament will require 16 players. The players will be split into four groups of four players. One player from each match will advance to the final, which will be comprised of the four winners of the other matches. Matches will consist of three rounds. The Hale mod used will be the most recent stable version. Report the following data from each match:
- Player selected as Hale, and which Hale they were
- Who died per match
- Did Hale die, Did hale win (in either case, state who was the last survivor if applicable)
- Total frag count at the end of the match (all three rounds)

It's a bit late for a Christmas tournament, unless you plan it for Christmas morning. Also, I'd be interested as long as there are no classes. I don't care if we use Overhaul, Rebirth, or Hyper (my version), this just seems like a great idea. Maybe you shouldn't make it a Christmas event though, maybe post-pone it to be a New Year's event so you can get more people to sign up.

I have no idea what the heck anymore. I just don't know.

but what the heck, I guess I'll sign up anyway. I've only seen classes tournaments around in the rare instance that I've ever looked in the events section of the forum, and I'm not a big classes or duel fan. Playing with multiple people is more of my thing.

A poll is too open to abuse. Instead, the tournament participants will discuss the version of choice in this thread and we will use the version that is chosen by the majority.

It's too early to choose now (very few people have signed up so far) but feel free to discuss in this thread.

I personally would like to see either Hyper or ++ (once it's out), but that's probably just a bias opinion. However, it makes sense since they add new bosses, they will also be getting a wad merge at some point or another, so that could make it easier to decide. If not those two,  we could just stick to good ol' Overhaul. I'm actually up for anything that's not Rebalanced Saxton, TBH.

I'd like to have Rebirth or Tails's Overhaul because not many people have experience with the other mods. Adding on to that, ++ is not out yet and Hyper isn't exactly fully balanced or ideal for a tourney.

I'm not even entering but in my personal opinion Overhaul (Tails' version) is probably the closest fit to a tournament setting

Yeah, I know Hyper isn't balanced  very well. That's one of the things I'm working on. Either way, I would just prefer to see ANYTHING other than Rebalanced.
