I live again! Well, for a second.

As I eventually figured, this little mod thing (last referred to as HECC Classes in videos on my old YT Maestromogus) is in an unsure state. I did a bunch and then started feeling eh about the quality, so I paused progress on it for a loooong while.

If I get back to this and feel more confident about the condition of things, I'll just start a new thread for it. I'll just make a clear file and re-add/revise things one at a time that I feel good with. In the meantime, feel free to lock this one.

One day, Greg.EXE had a concept for a CTF map that consisted of mirroring Knight Man. I took that concept and ran it straight into the ground. Introducing....

This is a map pack that takes a level from each major mega man game (1-10, V) and mirrors it to work for CTF. It also introduces recolored textures and props to help players distinguish between light side and wily side. Some care was taken to keep the weapon layout somewhat balanced but honestly I haven't played vanilla in long enough to know what's considered balanced so I just trusted the vanilla devs on this one and let most of the current weapons stay on the map. If people like the layouts or ideas though, I can definitely update the maps with more thoughtful weapon/item layouts.

It's been almost seven months since the last post, and the last public update to the mod in general. With such a long period, I can imagine some assumed the project was cancelled or something. The answer is no.

My interest shifted from working on it to other stuff not too long after the release of the v0-W hotfix. Focus on the development process fluctuated but I was still getting things done, step by step. You may know Vile is busy with other bigger mods of his own, so he hasn't had any major input in a long while because of that. At one point I got a new PC, but didn't get to pass on my dev build. So ever since around April, I had to start over from that point up to where I was. fixing glitches, tweaking bosses, reworking part of the content.. and finally, adapting chapter seven. Not only that, if you check out the clips playlist, you may see the mod getting combined with a certain expansion.

Nonetheless, what you're supposed to understand from this post is that surely you'll be hearing of Campaign Co-Op 0-Z/1.0 in august. And after that, chapters 8, 9 & 10 won't take much longer to arrive in multiplayer-compatable glory.

The skin's .PK3 file includes only the sprites and sound effects. You'll have to hard-mod the buster reskin into your MM8BDM.PK3 file.

Who is Xerxes?



Xerxes Nobleza, born to one Ariana Nobleza, is a cyborg fighter who devotes his time to protecting his hometown of Entierro, an underground city hidden beneath the sands of the Chihuahuan Desert.
Once a dying child, Xenon believes the cybernetics he was given granted him a second chance at life. Thus, he vowed to protect others' only chances.
Powered by the Xenon Ion Tubes Energy System, propelled by the Integrated Thrust and Lift Module, and defended by the Condensed Arc Discharge (CAD) Ruiner, Xerxes' mechanical strength is formidable, but his biotic makeup, ability to release adrenaline and overall resilience are what truly make him just as capable as any machine serving a similar role, or even pit against him.
To enemy and rescuee alike, he is known as Xenon Trooper.

Lore explanations aside, Xerxes isn't a Mega Man OC, but began his existence as one and can easily be adapted into the verse.
He has his own place in an original verse I've thought up (but I'll save that for another time).
