Your feeling would be wrong. As I recall, Mike has been throwing this idea out for a while now. Great to finally see it materialized though.

actually is frame rate decrement, not lag... Although a certain server HAD lag, but wasn't a stable server to begin...

I wonder if my idea of Super Smash Megaman will be next or something...

And somehow I think this is little different from CTF.

Bug report: Got a bunch of screws and having trouble moving around? No Problem! Just get a Scorch Wheel, use it, and boom you lose weight faster than Quickman on a treadmill.

In all seriousness, its mainly because when you get a reward, you'll have little health...and die immediately afterward. I dunno. Maybe when you return screws you get a refill like:
1-5=small health
6-10=small health & small energy
11-15= large health & small energy
16-25= large health & large energy
26-30= full recovery & large energy
31+= full recovery & all weapons refilled

That's just a suggestion.

Mess's game modes are great. It's just a shame they usually turn into camping games. Welcome to Screw Scramble, aka The Camping Game 2.0.

Some problems I ran into during the TDM version:

-Auto and Reggae are placed in random locations. That means you have to find your respective bank before the screws you carry have any value to you. They also have nasty tendencies to stick themselves in corners or high-traffic hallways and also too close to each other even in larger stages, making finding them and getting screws to them all the more unnecessarily difficult.

-There probably should be something in place that allows you to dump in screws for the other team. Lots of bank camping led to more focus on setting up a tent and throwing Flame Blast or Hyper Bomb or whatever around the bank rather than getting screws for one's own. Just as a deterrent from hovering around the other team's bank.

-Even with Team Deathmatch, players seem to spawn in alternating patterns nowhere near the banks, again because of the random positions of Auto and Reggae. I think they should be in set places in each stage if there's a way to program that.

The mode is a great idea and it isn't half bad, but lopsided matches run amok when one team finds Auto in the middle of their spawn points and the other team finds Reggae across the map in the middle of the first team's spawn points.

Let's not forget: Skulltag can't manage teams well! Many times I have respawned surrounded by enemies, and nowhere near any ally. It only works well in Skulltag or maybe if you set team spawn points

That's weird.
I went over 300 screws and I started going backwards very slowly, way under 600.
Of course this was offline.

Although it is really fun making Screw Geysers.

...I dont know if it's just me and my horrible luck but, why dose reggae always spawn completely out of the way yet auto is always in plain sight, 5 online matches and 10 offline bot matches, every single time, auto was out in the open and reggae was hidden, with my luck if I try crashman's stage, he'll spawn in the unreachable hole and auto will spawn opposite from the hyperbomb XD, aven though I know that's impossible to fix unless you edit every single map, also again on the OP noisecrush issue, opponent gets spread and noisecrush, they win, no exceptions

also someone said this on the server, give spread a time limit as someone could just camp out of sight near there base with 2 others (OH the CAMPING), make the other team come to them, they get fragged multiple times as they go one by one always having a 3+ on 1 senario, grab all the screws, rinse repeat, get spread in less than a minute, ???, profit
