That's it all you Mega Man fans. The Competition is over. We're done here. It was a fun and I learned a lot about running competitions from this experience. If I ever do it again, I have some ideas of how to improve most of the aspects. Handling Votes, Judge voting power, time frames, testing, etc. What would be next? No idea, all I know is I have no intention of doing this again until after the MM8 expansion is done. Competitions are a handful to manage.

Congrats to the winners! Also congrats to Ivory and the others who helped put this together! This has been the biggest competition yet on Cutstuff and it must have been quite the adventure setting it up, hosting the servers etc. A lot of people had fun, and hopefully people have opened their eyes to how fun CTF can be so it was definitely worth the investment.

Aeration Sun - BlueBrawl
There are two things that stood out to everyone when they saw BB's map, the visuals and the layout. The layout is very basic, but intricate, and I think that's one of the best parts of this map. It's technically still a rectangle, but the way the routes connect and the way everything flows brought all the votes in, in my opinion. Improvements? Well BB, since I was helping you with the weapon layouts you should know by now I still don't like that Wild Coil, especially in such cramped conditions. Apart from that though, I'd say it's near perfect, and the only reason it didn't win the competition (although it got very close!) is that it was fairly basic compared to Shade Guy's in and out style.

Double Castle - Lakister
As much as I like Fake Man's music, that is probably too loud. On first glances, the map looks pretty good. Knight Man always had a fairly solid tile set, although I'll admit it's not really used to its greatest here. Entire walls of pink come to mind... The Wily base does look a lot better. The crisscrossing bricks effect on the Centaur floor is a pretty awesome touch, but the floor tiles themselves do tend to get overused a bit? The layout is very solid. The freeflowing lane structure where you can just jump in and out of the main green areas is perfect. The side lanes do tend to be very very long though, which isn't a good thing as MM8BDM has relatively low projectile speed and lanes like this tend to get spammed up. The weapon selection is good too, starting out with the close range Ring Boomerangs and Quick Boomerangs and moving on to more powerful weapons towards the middle. I will question the inclusion of Metal Blade though, it seems too powerful especially when it overshadows its competition, Needle Cannon, which is sitting right next to it. Also, Magnets don't home in CTF, which makes Dust a much better choice for the same role.

Turbo Rumble - Nemu
Very small scale fun! I love this one. The main flaw is that it is very open in the middle, but with the height differences this doesn't tend to be a problem. The middle does feel a little underused though, especially when great weapons such as Drill Bomb and... HNNNG... METAL BLADE are in the side lanes. Bass is always good in CTF, Noise could be better since the map is quite open. Treble, Tango and Rush don't see much use either. Rush is a good way to get into the side lanes, but I didn't see many people doing that. Textures are spot on and really pretty, music is pretty darn catchy.

Spaced Out - Yellow Devil
PERFECT

Deserted City - Galaxy
I played quite a lot of matches on this one. It has some good flow, my main gripes though are the bases and the middle route. The middle seems a bit underused due to the death sand, Silver Tomahawk is a good weapon but doesn't see much use when compared to something like Air Shooter though, and whilst Thunder Beam and Treble (WHO DOESN'T HOME IN, STOP PUTTING HIM EVERYWHERE (GENERALLY AT MAPMAKERS NOT YOU GALAXY)) are good weapons, they're not worth stopping and turning around for. I didn't see Hard getting much use either, probably because it's so far out of the way. Some of the side lanes could use a bit more identification for teams as they're mainly grey, but overall the textures are neat. Also, the map may have had good jumping from top to bottom, but if you're on the bottom there's very little to get back up apart from some slow jumps or ladders.

Sky Castle - Duora
This map probably got so many votes because of the interesting gimmick. The level design is solid, as previously mentioned the gimmick is good and fresh whilst not being too annoying *cough FGG* and the textures, for the most part, is pretty good. The main problem with this map is the frankly awful placement of items and weapons. There are WAY too many items and pickups, resulting in almost invincible flag runners with almost infinite ammo, and the weapon selection just plainly makes no sense to me. Gemini Ice and Fire make for good starting weapons. Wild Coil is a little out of the way, but worth it... But then you have Quick Boomerang on the other tower. Why? That's a fat lot of use compared to Coil. Dust is like a better Gemini, not really worth the trip. Bass Buster takes time but is worth it. Crystal and Freeze just add to the already impressive amount of rebounding weapons. Probably the most infamous weapon selection is Ballade Cracker, a powerful, fast explosive, lying on the ground. This is especially insulting when you have Bubble Lead, a pretty C-Tier weapon, that requires skillful pad jumping to get. It's not a bad map, the gimmick saved it from  being rejected though. Also fix those textures, too many grey walls that need breaking up.

Take it or leave it.

Ha, I was actually planing on touching up Triple Trouble based on some of the feed back.  Why not make it a project like Doura said as a CSCF pack so the runner ups can improve their maps.

I quite enjoyed Savior's map, save for a few frustrating jumps and non-8-bit music. Uki's map was playable and eye candy at the same time. Sora's boats weren't much to look at, but still fun nontheless. I wouldn't mind playing on any of those maps again.

Next time we have a competition like this, I'm gonna try when I get better at mapping. I'm disappointed that I had to drop out.
