I made a mod where you play as toadman, rush is replaced by a mini version of the snail from his stage, dr light is cossack, and bass is snakeman.

I'm having trouble with the Super Adapter.

I'm thinking of changing all the robot masters to Megaman(Or Megaman 9 RMs.)
Reasoning behind all are Megaman: Wily sent Airman out to defeat Megaman before he destroyed the latest masters. When Airman catches up to Megaman, he has already defeated the robot master and Airman must defeat Megaman who is wielding that power. Airman gets the power upon Megaman's defeat.
EDIT: Thunder Bolt's secondary color was changed to Orange to allow for Airman to be original color with no weapon equipped.

Back on Cat Planet, the Crows are making trouble for Angel Girl and her cat friends! The Crows want to get rid of the cat planet cats so they can make Cat Planet Crow Planet!
After days of fending off the Crows, Angel Girl and her friends found a inter dimensional space time warp wormhole portal! The crows grew tired of trying to conquer Cat Planet, so they escaped through the portal to take over another world! Knowing the Crows were up to no good, Angel Girl and her friends went through the portal following the crows. But a mysterious doppelganger followed them..
The Portal led to Megaman's world, where Dr. Wily had just made a jailbreak.
Wily ran into the gang of crows on his way to the castle. They shard the same interest: to take over the world. The Crows and Dr. Wily teamed up to conquer the world!
When Angel Girl and the Cat Planets arrived, the world was being attacked by crows and a bunch of hostile robots! Its up to them to save the day!
Okay, so the mod has no story, but I felt like writing something silly.
Megaman = Angel Girl
Protoman = Masked Cat Planet
Eddie = Purple Cat Planet (Josh)
Rush = Green Cat Planet (Penny)
Beat = Winged Cat Planet (Bonny)
Bass = Demon Girl(?)
Treble = Eye-patch Cat Planet
Dr. Wily = ...Dr. Wily.
Dr. Light = Cat Planet with metool helmet (don't ask)
A few other things to note.
Wild Coil is now "Wild Carrot". Instead of flinging two springs about, you instead fling two carrots.
Crows are everywhere. A lot of enemies look like crows or have crows with them. Crows also appear in the background sometimes.
All of the fortress bosses and robot masters remain the same. However, all of the robot masters have "Dude" at the end of their name instead of "man"
There is a short montage of the original Cat Planet game during the intro.
I wanted to change some of the bgm, but I couldn't get anything to work properly.
So yeah. This isn't anything super special, really, but I enjoyed making it. I hope you enjoy playing it!
Making this mod has also inspired me to make a "Demon Girl(?)" skin for MM8BDM.

I mentioned earlier that I still wanted to mod RM7FC again. I did all I could with the Cat Planet Mod, and I am very satisfied with how it came out. But I STILL felt the desire to keep modding it.
But then it hit me. Why not make a Kirby's Adventure style mod? Seems like a perfect idea. Kirby's adventure has plenty of enemies, nice stage designs and overall sprites I could use for this mod.

Attack and Jump wont change the attack.Size means what size of window you want the game to be.BGM means the music, If you will write 0 - the music won't play.If 1 - plays the music. dont mess with writing 2 in the BGM!SE means sound fx. It works the same as BGM, but instead of music it is configuring sound fx. GoAction means to go to the final boss stage.I dont know what GoGO means, so try using it.GoPass means go to the screen, that shows the password. There are four "rockman" files right? As in files containing Rockman in them? ed_rockman, rockman, op_rock, and rock_warp?
Either way, my Helmetless Mod is about 98% complete. The only things that aren't done, as far as I can see, is the ice effects in "rockman" and the helmetless portrait of Rock in "op_rock". Cause I can't sprite worth crud. I managed to make helmetless for "ed_rockman" using resized sprites from Mega Man 9/10 and a bit of tweaking here and there. It's... average at best. So, here it is. Comments?

Can I just say; I've seen some amazing mods of this game on here! Many mods offer new and original ideas, it's hard to be original in a modified game when you're limited to space and colour. But you all seem to have managed fine.

Most of the Chill Man sprites were pre-ripped by the guys over at Sprites-INC, so props to them! Other sprites, like the charging animations, the 'dash' and the climbing were custom made/edited. The Chill Man Pixelart was 100% custom too.
There's still room from improvement and additions, I haven't even finished the Chill Man sheet yet, and the 'dash' sprite needs a LOT of work done to it, right now it looks like total ass. I'm going to be replacing Proto Man with Pump Man (Y'know, 'cause of the shield and such), any suggestions for replacements such as bosses, characters and such are welcomed!
I not only worked on Proto's first stage, I also worked on other stages, too! Plug Man's stage (the modified stage is not plug man's, but it's still modified!), I made another robot master named Tech Man, that replaces Shade man and Tech Man's stage is moddifed, too, Ra Thor's stage is done, too, Quint's stage is moddified, And Proto Man's fourth stage is moddified. Screenshots will be soon! When I'll post the screenies, my mod will be 100% completed! You know, what that means? I'll link a download for everyone to enjoy my mod! When I'm done, I'll be working on a new mod, that changes some bosses into Stardroids and I'll change the super adapter to be the super arm, with a new feature - double jump!
EDIT: did i forgot to mention, that junk man's/Jewel man's stage is modded (It's not modded to be jewel's stage but it's modded)? Also, Tech Man's CD (spoilered, cause my post is getting big):
Tech Man is a robot master, that uses alien tech. He has a jetpack, sound generator, Blood sucking fingers and a freeze ray. He and Ra Thor are rivals.
Good point: Hates the evil dr. Wily.

Likes: The colors white and blue.

YYEEEAAAAHH!!! Luckyman travels back in time, deciding to do good stuff hoping good stuff will happen in his world centuries later! There are going to be some limitations to what I'd like to do as well. I'd like it if there was no charge noise like in the original Luckman 5 but that might harm the charge noise of Bass and Proto. Haven't got that far yet, only all the uncharging lucky buster sprites, the pause menu saying "L. Buster" instead and a slightly modified intro that needs fixing is done right now. yes, I know this is terrible compared to what kapus is doing

A robot created to work with radioactive materials, but after curroption by Dr. Wily, now wants to turn everything into radioactive materials.
"I'm going to turn you into a night light!"
Appearance: His armor resembles a hazmat suit with a radioactive symbol on it. He has a green glow around him (because radiation is visible in video games universes).
Weapon: Uranium Rods. These weapons are thrown in an arc. They can cause direct damage by hitting someone. Or if they hit the ground, they will stay for a period of time, creating a radioactive aura that will damage you if you get near it.
Good point: A glowing personality.
Bad point: Rather deranged.
Likes: Energy, Chemistry, Half-Life, Making everything glow.
Dislikes: Oil Man, Wind Man, Solar Man (rival energy sources)
Anyway, I've now realized the problem with using both non-grid-aligned middleground tiles and a complex background.

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0. I don't use paint, as I find everything much easier with photshop (even drawing).

So far I have 4 of the RM's there. Sorry about the dumb looking letter in crystalman. I think I'l change the background at some point to something. Either the MMF stage select background (unanimated) or something else that's purple.
Also, this shows what I mean a bit by colour limits. Propelman's face should be orangey red rather than dark red.

Here's some snappies. Progress is kinda slow, but then again this is a near full mod of the game.
Crystalman replacing Freezeman. Right now only half his sprites are implented and they aren't really in the right place. Eventually I'l make the freeze attacks more crystal like. The level textures will be the ones in his stage, but sadly I might need to rip them myself. (Good thing I love MM5). Oh and yeah, Chronoman's jump sprite is a bit cut off. I'l have to find some way of avoiding this. (Most likely a new sprite)

Tenguman replacing Cloudman. All his sprites are there, but I still need to arrange them a bit and make the thunder look like wind slices and stuff. The weapon you'll get from him is "Gyro Blast", which fires a gyro thing that splits into air things when it hits stuff.

Topman replacing Turboman. Instead of fireballs, he launches spiraling wheels of blazing tops. I've changed the spin thing though. Instead of spinning round to replace the car thing, he uses those roller blades in this shoes, making lots of sparks across the ground. I've basically done all the sprites for him.

Base weapon preview. Instead of the Rock Buster, you get "Time Shards", which launches these red arrows out of your hands. Right now I only have those inplented, but I plan that the half charges shots will be a recoloured (maybe bigger) version of these arrows and the charge shots will be a purple....wobbly stopwatch thing....you'll see what I mean when I sprite it.

Also yes, Chronoman's sprites aren't really done yet. Since he is unfinished in MMF, he only has 4 of his visible sprites (3 running and a jump frame). I'm gonna have to get real creating with the rest. Not only that but I need to recolour them to purple, like how they should be
Also Springman and Junkman are still available for replacement. I am open to your ideas for your own fanmade RM's. I would like at least one of these two to be fanmade.
Also, I'm not too sure on what to replace Rush and Bass with. I guess I could leave rush unchanged, but no changing Bass would seem uncreative. If I can't think of anything then I might have to go with Luckyman. hurry up and suggest stuff!

Jumping attack frame might need a bit of work. The real issue I have here is the size limits. Since Chronoman is bigger than Megaman, this is a real pain at times, especially when it makes random dots appear in the sprites -_-.
I think I'l go for Diveman, however there are two problems:
1) No water in Junkman's stage. Not such a huge issue though
2) Propelman's stage is basically a slightly run down version of Diveman's, only somewhere else. It might be weird having both the RM's with similar tilesets.

I've basically done all the base weapon Chronoman sprites now except for the climbing sprites (which I think I know how to make now) and the fact that some sprites overlap others. I might have to make my own jumping sprite, as the current one gets cut off. Really, I hate these size limits so much!!!

Weapons:
Time Shards - Base Weapon. Normal shot fires a red arrow. Half charged fires a bigger colourful one. Full charged will hopefully fire a purple wobbly stopwatch thing. (Right now it is a purple and yellow charge shot).
Crystal Smash - Crystalman's Weapon. Launches a crystal that splits into more.
Gyro Blast - Tenguman's Weapon. Launches a powerful gyro that blasts into air strike things upon contact.
Skull Satellite - Skullman's Weapon. Creates a powerful barrier of spiraling skulls.
Blazing Tops - Topman's Weapon. Creates a ring of fiery tops. They burn things.
Radon Slash - Radonman's Weapon. Strikes your enemies with a radioactive glow stick!
Cyclone Storm - Wingman's Weapon. Fires a few bouncy tornadoes which can be powered up of they fly into you.
Time Bombs - Chronoman's Weapon. You must beat Propelman to get it. Let's you drop timed explosives (and attach them to propeller things).
Gorra Tormenta - Gorrahombre's Weapon. Let's you throw two hats that bounce. Instead of Chronoman changing colour when using this, he wears a hat.
Tango Coil - Rush Coil but it's Tango instead.
Tango Jet - Rush Jet but it's Tango instead.
Cat Adapter - Tango merges with Chronoman to give him better looking amour, better attack and a better jump. In order to get this, you must get the "CAT!" plates. This is totally not a ripoff Kapus's Cat Planet mod. (No really, it isn't. I would (probably) have thought of this anyway and I can't think of anything better.)
Beat - Beat (Might change to a TenCrow though).
Sword Shield - After defeating Boilman, he gives you his sword. Since it is no longer on fire when he throws it to Chronoman, you can only use it as a shield.
Right now I don't have icons for Gorra Tormenta or Time Bombs. Same for the 1-up. Hopefully I will make these soon though.
Speaking of this screen, does anyone know how to actually get that adapter upgrade in this game? I can't find it in the FC version.

Here's what I'm planning on making the select screen look like. All I need really is the 2 remaining icons and that's it.
BUT, there's a problem. See I had to kinda switch between RBG and Indexed modes to make this. The game doesn't like it when I do this too much and so right now the colours are all out and messy. What should I do to fix it? Should I make my own pallete based on these colours and copy this to a new indexed .bmp?
And in case your wondering, this WAS inspired but the Megaman Forever select screen. The big difference is that this one doesn't have stars flying in the background and the center icon and text doesn't change depending on what RM you have selected. But it doesn't matter too much. (Might still add some background stars though).
I might do, although I decided to be more creative with the Skull Barrier and called it Skull Satellite. Since Boilman's weapon is Flame Sword, I thought that would make sense, although I might change it to Blade Shield.
Also the size limits are trolling me again -_-. Wingman's wings look as if they would definitely go past the size limits. It might well be that I have to make a new pose for him, which I do not see as being a good thing in any way. I really do wish I had more room for the sprites. I hope I can fir that spoiler on the turtle, as I really want to use my idea of it being like Thunderbird 2.

"Revenge of Meta Knight" takes place in Orange Ocean, so you could make Shade Man into Meta Knight, assuming he isn't Bass, and Van Pookin something like a giant Javelin Night.

I have a slight problem with my mod. I really want to replace Protoman with Boilman, but there's a slight problem I have concerning size limits.
The green box is roughly the size of what the sprite size can be. Pretty much every frame completely bypasses that unless I edit it. Thing is, how would I possibly fit Boilman into those boxes? I can't remove his sword, as that would be suicidal.

This is an OLD thing I have had for 4 years now.
This started out as a project for my friend who really loved Tails, after about a year or so working on it I asked him if he would actually play the game and he said "highly unlikely". So basically I spent time making a game for a friend that they wouldn't even touch.
As you can tell by the screenshots, these are questionable quality edits of Mega Man sprites.
So eventually if I get into the mood of working on this, I will have to completely revamp almost everything.
Actually, if you think about it(spoiler alert):
If it was really a prank, it would make some sense because consider this: it doesn't take a genius to ask, "how would one replace a short human scientist with the Loch-Ness Monster itself?"
But hey, it's just an opinion. Good job on the screenshots though.
To do so, you need to meet him twice. Once in Cloud Man, then in Turbo Man, in that order.
The Cloud Man encounter is accessed via a ladder in the indoor section, surmountable by Rush Coil.
In Turbo Man, Proto should be hidden behind a wall to the right of the vertical ladder section, which can be reached using Super Adaptor.
Finally, in Shade Man's level, finish off the pumpkin mini-boss by shooting the center. He should reveal an alternate downwards path. There, behind a Sniper Joe, a secret door awaits. After meeting Proto Man those two other times, he challenges you to a duel there. Win that fight, and he hands over his shield.

Kilt's stage. It's pretty much done. While fighting, Kilt likes to throw her shield at you.
For everyone that has been wondering how to alter the text, I used some debugging skills to figure it out. I just used Cheat Engine for debugging and IDR to make the process a little easier. The game was programmed in Delphi 6 (yuck) and the full source code is impossible to reconstruct.
Basically, all text can be found in the exe but with Unicode-16 encoding (in litttle endian). You just need to open it with a hex editor that supports changing the encoding to UTF-16 and you'll be able to see and change all the text. Of course, you have to be careful not to exceed the length of the string. I used Tiny Hexer, which is free.

After a short break I will move on to hacking Rockman 8 FC. It's way harder to mod because it's coded in C++, but i'm onto something. I'll post my findings on the other thread, for those who are interested.
