How many teams?

So everyone's been discussing new team colors for king, which started to get me thinking. How many teams can Zandronum support? I've been fooling around in Paint and I wanted to know if it's possible.

Perhaps I wasn't exactly clear. Can a mod add more teams to the game, or can you only add more teams to the core?

If you're planning to use more than 4 teams in MM8BDM, however, you'd probably have to wait for a new update where the new teams are called something other than "Purple team" or "Brown team" etc./have support for color swapping.

Tried and failed. It says "Only 4 teams can be included in TEAMINFO".
