Title: MM8BDM Doom-Style HUD (revamp V0.5 release)

So I decided to give this one more revamp, as I had some ideas to make this look a lot better. Basically, I decided redesign it to make it more Doom-like, what with the numbers instead of bars. Though, I added tiny health and ammo meters in the center as to give a quick frame-of-reference of how much of either you have at a glance. I still need to add in something to dictate teams for teamgames, most likely a swappable icon of some sort next to the frag counter. There are a few more minor things I want to fix up, but I just wanted to get this out there and get feedback.

I suppose the "Doom-style" part is somewhat misleading.
I expected a status bar with a mugshot, heheheh.

Same, I went in expecting an 8 bit doom HUD. Complete with Mega Man's mugshot doing all of the classic doom guy mugshot expressions.

It IS a pretty good idea. The Mega Man face could go right there in the center.

This actually isn't such a bad idea though, I mean, you could have the weapon energy on one side and health on the other and just have the doom widget replaced with Mega man' head. It seems like a mod cutman Mike would consider. This is a good idea man, but what about that part of the screen that it covers?

UPDATE:

I have a new mockup of it, this time based off of the MM2 weapon selection screen.

This also adds the face people want, as well as a frag counter. While I lack the skills to draw Mega Man in various states of disrepair, one thing I might be able to do is change the face depending on which skin you're using.

Perhaps it would need every skin to have its own set of faces. Skins having custom faces is possible but you would have to "redefine" them. Not to mention the required amount of new graphics.
It looks nice, though.

But in the developpement of MM8BDM, skins don't have a crouch animation...
Can you make some please? I'm sick of seeing flat Megamen.

Those would take a lot of time. And 8BDM isn't designed for enabled crouching anyway.

It's good. Well done.

I suggest using the height command so it doesn't block most of the weapon and the map's name in the automap. The regular Doom status bar uses it.

Ah, and it also fixed the problem with text appearing on the bar. Yay.

I didn't do the "bleeding" alternates because why would megaman bleed

This would literally require the class to be adjusted for crouching skins, which would break every other skin in the entire game without them, and that is saying it is even possible in DOOM to begin with (I don't know if it is or isn't but I'm sure someone does)
