I was writing a top ten worst touch screen control examples but it never got finished. Probably couldn't think of a whole 10 but Diddie Kong racing was very high. You'll know why if you've played it.
Please don't tell me that Starfox Command made that list.

Touchpads in VG consoles are a sign of how the whole gaming industry is adapting itself towards casual gamers, since they're it's main target.

Before you know it, controllers will be ancient history, my friend :ugeek:.

Are you kidding me? Some games have made brilliant uses of the touch screen such as Metroid Prime Hunters and Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver's Menu.

Fact is, the touch screen adds options for stuff that would otherwise just be another button you have to worry about. Less Clutter. You can have buttons that do what it needs to do.

But hey, if you're going to complain about touchscreens being an alternate form of input, complain about guitar hero/rockband instruments as well same idea, different forms of input. This has nothing to do with casuals.

IS as in "right now". "Adapting itself" as in "changes we're seeing in the development of modern consoles". "casual gamers" as in "people who play games just for the heck of it". So, they're a sign of how the gaming industry is slowly phasing it's development towards a more casual game style.

Plus, those games you've just mentioned were made by NINTENDO, a +25-year-old game company. I had in mind the misc. companies that throw weird games like "Babyz Princess Rockstarz 4evar" or "Laern 2 tyep: (insert language here) Editionz", which are just games that use the DS's touchpad...FOR THE WHOLE GAME.

So if anyone's been curious as to what MML3 will look like, this will give you an idea.

Congratulations, you missed the entire point of gaming all together. For the record, I could name plenty non-nintendo games.

I'm done with this argument since you have yet to back up any point you have given out.

Let's just say I've gained a hate towards touchpads in the last 2 months. May not be valid; I just plainly hate touchpads.

I just don't want Capcom to go nuts with it :? . But something tells me they won't, and that they might just do it Wright.

Some people are theorizing that MML3 will be running off MT Framework Mobile engine that's being developed for the 3DS. I simply decided to post that link from this article over at Protodude's.

Yeah, I know it's not MML3 in the least. I didn't say it was. All I said was that this will give you an idea of what the game could look like on the 3DS. Learn to use your imagination and visualize it.

From what I've seen of the 3DS lineup thus far, third parties are focusing on making "console" style games (Street Fighter, Supar Grimdark Shootan Gaems) than "portable" or "DS-centric" games (Kirby's Canvas Curse, Nintendogs).

This makes me very sad and makes me hate the game industry more, because I like the more DS-centric games over a lame shooting game or a fight-- okay, no, I love fighting games, but I'd prefer to play a game designed with the system in mind.  The Touch Screen has easily become my favorite method of control when the developers don't try to turn it into a second button pad or d-pad.

That said, that doesn't mean I damn a traditional game on the DS to hell.

Megaman Legends 3 will probably be more traditional, maybe using the touch screen for menus or mini-game segments.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars gave us a preview of a Graphical enhanced, 3D Volnutt.

Can't wait to see his 3D Render in this game, all we need is for the days to hurry so we can get a Screenshot or two.

At another forum I go to, when Mega Man Legends 3 was announced, one user said it was a joke, a running gag from Capcom, and that if it was real, he'd eat his hat.

He's been banned until he uploads a video of him doing so.  Like, seriously banned.  Don't mess with Legends 3.

lol Don't mess with Legends 3.

So, here's my speculation:

The first dungeon will be a shorter version of MML2's 3 last dungeons (Elysium's Center, Residential and Defense Areas). Since the Master System was shut down, most reaverbots are malfunctioning, thus making it easier for Trigger to get to the Shuttle Bay.

I think Infuane(sp?) said the gap between that would be closed by cutscenes or something.
