I was a little harsh, but i'm not really looking forward to it.

And the transformation gimmick kinda reminds me of X's Armors

The fact that Keiji is STILL wanting to continue Megaman (oopsies I mean Mighty No. 9 so sorry Crapcom) is enough to make me happy. Cannot wait to see where this goes.

I can see why Inafune-san would be weary of us after how we handled Power Stone. Fortunately, we have never done anything like that to any of our other franchises.

-_-

I find heavy irony in this Kickstarter project. Why?
IT'S A MEGAMAN RIPOFF, CREATED BY THE CREATOR OF MEGAMAN!

Honestly, i hope this bland ripoff never sees the light of day.
Ok, how about YOU give him a couple millions so he can reclaim Mega Man's IP, which is currently owned by Capcom?

Even though this is a blatant middle finger to Capcom, I actually approve of what Inafune's doing. I plan on dropping around 100$ whenever I get money on my account.

Also, Capcom isn't going to give up the rights to Megaman easily...well, less they get fed up with the bullcrap by the fans (Hint: Not in our lifetime, maybe, but who knows when they'll hit their point of insanity.)

hehehehe...Beck and Call...I see what you did there Inafune.

I'm looking forward to it. Capcom don't know what to do with MM. Inafune knows what we* want, and will deliver; even if he does need a new series to do it with.

*we being a figurative term for fans of the classic/X gameplay that want more of a familiar style. Get off me if you disagree because I didn't ask for your opinion and I don't want it.

Mighty Number 86. :P

I have absolutely nothing to add to this except it looks awesome. I sympathize with Inafune and I think this is something good for everyone, both the developers and the fans. I also like that "Beck and Call" are still musical references but could also imply some level of servitude, such as with robots. +1 Saw What You Did Thar.

2015 is so far away, though..

It's ridiculous when people think He was the creator of the serie and Megaman (just his design), ok, he did the design of Megaman, but it's like if you say "mario created the videogame", no, there was videogames before mario.

The megaman serie wasnt only 1 guy, ok.
A lot of people think Megaman is dead because they want so quickly a game to finish like a PS3/Xbox trophy (like nothing) They bury megaman as they never knew it.
I don't think Megaman IS dead, Capcom did a lot of things with others, like Megaman Archie, a lot of goodies, Megaman games on Wiiware and others (till mm6, mmgb5), and im pretty sure, if they want make a megaman games, it wont be only a single player game with HD graphism 2D (:
I remember Rockman Online who was shut down, i hope, this kind of game can born now (because, create servers is very expensive). And there is a lot of fangame to spend the time, like mm unlimited, mm revolution and others, but people BURY TOO FAST MEGAMAN.

And you know, it makes me laugh, Mighty n°913244 wont be release before spring 2015...so........
I hope Capcom will wake up quickly to show how megaman is awesome, and we will see who are the true fans (:

I have nothing against this game, but for me, it's not more than a ZX game. Not a true megaman game.

EDIT:

Sorry im a little mad because im crazy i see people say "Megaman is dead, now it's Mighty n°9"....seriously?

Well, Inafune's the "face" of Mega Man. People are generally judged instantly based on their face. The body is important too, but the face gives it a layer of personality that may or may not correspond to the inner person. In this case, the "body" of the production is, well, Mega Man. The same level designer, the composer from the first two games, guys who worked on X3, 9 and 10, Star Force, etc. It's easily seen how one draws connections between the two. I could easily classify this as a Mega Man subseries and it would fit in perfectly to me alongside the gems of the past.

It's moreso that Mega Man's been neglected rather than dead. Smash 4, the Archie Comics, and to an extent SFxMM are the only high points the Blue Bomber has had since MM10's release. Mega Man's never going to flat out die, it's had way too many successes and left such a legacy to flat out die. It would be like if the Metroid series were to die out just because Other M crashed.

If one really wanted to draw a parallel to Mega Man, then quite honestly I'd say this falls closest to Battle Network. It has the same feel as Mega Man, but the characters and storylines are nearly 100% different. It's closest to Classic in terms of structure, I'm not even going to try to deny that, but I could very easily see Beck and Mega Man standing side by side. I'd also argue that the ZX series is more "True Mega Man" than the X series, but that's irrelevant.

On a more positive note, 700K and counting!
