Of course, this only works if the problem with your laptop wasn't the hard drive...what happened to mine was water was spilled on it and it took a couple weeks of sputtering for it to finally give up, but the hard drive was unaffected.

Also, out of personal bias, I recommend getting a desktop because they not only tend to be cheaper, but also last longer and can be drastically more powerful.

Eh, today's laptops are really good too.
Intel's Haswell-series CPUs are amazing.
Unless you play the latest and greatest overhyped games with enough graphics detail to simulate a bee's fart correctly ... you really don't need a desktop.

btw my hard-drive is gone too.. anyways desktop computers are cheaper? if so i'll be getting one also i like to play minecraft too so yea a more powerfull system is wanted too i just want my games to run fast and not look pretty and slow.

I don't think the site's CSS changed, and it looks the same as always for me. As in, before I started manipulating the CSS on my side.
Maybe you installed a new font or something like Word in the meantime? I know that that can cause your fonts to get reshuffled.
Of course, you can always change the fonts the Forums use with something like Stylish.

There should be some way to disable the ads by adding a line of code to adblocker or something. It worked for whenever I have ads, but I didn't have any popups, so I can't say for sure if it will work with your problem.
