Top 3 Legend of Zelda Games
« on: December 08, 2010, 11:19:26 PM »
Just post your top 3 LoZ games 1 being the best 3 being lowest on the list of the 3 of your choice

My 3 Are

1. Ocarina of Time, Very Fun plot and gameplay that you can play over and over again

2.Links Awakening, definitely a great game just because you could steal from the shop owner...
(click to show/hide)

3.A Link to the past/Four Swords. Four swords was a remake of A link to the past which is also very good. The grahpics looks nice and the design of link looks really good.

1. Majora's Mask
I've already explained why this one is my favorite in some other thread. The dark and gloomy atmosphere feels awesome.

2. Ocarina of Time
The gameplay was amazing, and the story is pretty good too. It was really enjoyable, I still remember the first time I played it. I can't wait for the 3DS remake.

3. A Link to the Past
This was the first LoZ game I played, it will always linger in my mind as one of my favorite games of all time.

Also, Four swords is a separate multiplayer game in the GBA remake of A Link to the Past, not the remake itself.

Edit: Lolol, typed story twice. Sometimes I don't even know what I'm doing.

1) Oracle of Ages and Seasons
yes I listed both, those games were meant to be together.
2) Links Awakening
I love it to pieces.
3) Minish Cap
Even if the game was far too short.
Yes, I love the top view Zelda games way more.

Also moving this to General Gaming Discussion.

I have no idea which one that I'd put. All the one's I played were good. But for the one having the most awesome gameplay, I'll put...

1: Twilight Princess.
This game's sword techniques and items were awesome. For once, I felt like I could really just beat the crap outta someone with my own strength, probably because I played on the wii. And the dual Claw Shots? Oohh, man. That was just too good. Think of having the Wire from Megaman 4 that can shoot in all directions, and you have two of them. That really was pure awesomeness.

2: Ocarina of Time.
This game was so important to the series. And it was Ganondorf's debut, too. This game has to be up on the list.

3: A Link to the Past.
Like others have mentioned, This game was the first Zelda game I've ever played. And I played it a lot back then. Ah, the youthful memories...

1. Majora's Mask
I always wanted to help Anju in this game when I was a kid.
It was strange. One of the first ones I played.

2. Ocarina of Time
I never really understood the first dungeon when I was little.
And so, I never left the forest. Once I got far as to the boss.
Also one of the ones I played when i was a child.

3. Twilight Princess
It was good for a Zelda game, but very dark.
It seems to try to remake the creepiness in Majora Mask.

I had trouble with the first dungeon, too. For a long time, I was stuck there. Thats why I stuck to Majora's Mask for a while.

1.Link to the past

--One of the first Zelda games I've completed without the need of a strategy guide and a challenging experience. I felt so powerful once I got the Master Sword and Mirror shield :p

2. Twilight Princess

--Surprised? Only reason why I loved Twilight over Ocarina was due to it's exotic locations and best of all... ZORAS :3

3. Wind Waker

--You bitches be hatin' on this game cause it's about as loony as a Saturday Hannah Barbara cartoon. Seriously, it was a good installment towards the series despite the deviation in art style. A vast sea filled with treasure of all kinds, creepy monsters and fun bosses, and of course the light arrows with their new ability: Compelling light of epic death :p

1. Majora's Mask
--Have always loved this one for its transformations and aspect on time. Also, the awesome scarecrow Pierre.
2. Ocarina of Time
--(Generic reason)
3. Wind Waker
--Loved the cel shading and model styles, I love the open exploring style, and Tingle using his own "relatives" as slaves is just plain awesome.

I need to finish/play more of the Legend of Zelda games.  Out of what I have played and completed (at least one quest), then.

1.) A Link to the Past
Either version of this game is simpler than the more recent games, but it is easy to just pick it up and play it.  It is filled with secrets for those who don't want to look at guides or walkthroughs, but it is easy to remember where they are found, all of them.  I have completed no-death playthroughs of the game, but it is still quite challenging enough that I have yet to complete a minimalist playthrough.  It gave us the Master Sword, the Sacred Realm where the Triforce was found, and the first use of the name Ganondorf which suggested he was significantly changed to become Ganon.

2.) Wind Waker
I remember there being a lot of humor in this one.  Things I certainly didn't expect.  The controls were very good.  Some complained that the grappling hook took too long to use, but I didn't see it, myself.  Others complained about the design of everything, but I loved that, particularly the darknuts and the bosses.  Exploring on the vast ocean was sometimes boring but it was fun often enough.  This game also had Salvatore.  *ke-bewm!*

And like the original Legend of Zelda, there was a second quest, but all I know about it is you could save the world in your pajamas.

<.<

*splewsh*

3.) Majora's Mask
I wanted to rate this one higher, but I have to give Wind Waker credit.  I rate it higher than Ocarina of Time mostly for three reasons.  The 3 day time limit was innovative, being the first.  There were some challenges in that game which were very difficult to fit into only 3 days.

The second is the mask system.  You had some very different movement modes for the three main masks, as well as other abilities such as the Zora mask's fin attack.  A slew of others were useful for quests and other situations.

The last is the Happy Mask Salesman.  He was probably nightmare fuel for somebody, but I love that scene.

MAJORA'S MASK.

Every other Zelda is trash. You are not worthy.

Alright I think you should get a emulator and a rom and start playing one of these recomended games, I would say OoT or Majora's Mask would be good starters and If you want something a little bit harder then majoras mask then play wind waker
