The Awesome Games that Nobody's ever heard of
« on: November 25, 2011, 07:35:59 AM »
Yeah, something like this has probably been made already, but, whatever, rather than bumping some old topic, I decided to do this. Two rules:

1) Must say WHY the game is so awesome.
2) Game play video.

So, basically this is exactly what it says on the tin; A topic for very obscure, yet awesome games.

I'll start:

-Fury3-

This game is probably one of my favorite games of all time, if not all-time favorite. Basically, you fly around in a ship, and blow stuff up. That's it.

AND IT'S SO FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!

You've got lots of enemy ships and buildings and things attackin' you as you blow everythin' up around you to a masterful soundtrack created by Kyle Richards; I simply never get tired of it, it's just simple arcade-y fun.

<>GAMEPLAY VIDEO<>

If nobody's ever heard of it, then how will you find a gameplay video? (Let alone know about it yourself considering nobody has heard of it.)

Youtube has video's of pretty much every game in existance, mah boi.

Seriously, though, I'm pretty sure that if you love some really obscure game, chances are, someone else does too, and happens to have a youtube accound and a way to put a video up.

I mean, they have videos of Fury 3, after all, which I have yet to meet someone in person or on a forum that has even heard of the game, nevertheless played it.

Is this a topic for underrated games as well? Because I love this one game that I'm sure you've all never heard of or played.

In all honesty, the most obscure and awesome game I've ever played would have to be Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose. It was pretty short, but still a lot of fun.

I have a similar favorite, that being Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure. It was a genesis exclusive platformer, and a great one at that

The indie game Hydra Castle Labyrinth. Kinda like La Mulana or any maze and collecting game. You are in a maze castle and you have to find items and dungeons. Get the keys to go to the final castle area. For a game made from one guy, it's pretty good, but it is pretty tough without a guide.

It took until Sept till someone put the soundtrack on youtube that wasn't remixes of any kind (even though its songs were right in the folder).
Not sure if anyone even translated in English, if not, well the game is already a lot harder.
