I'm currently in the process of developing a game for PC.  It's somewhat inspired by the Mega Man X series, but mind you, it is not a straight up clone like RKS or Megamari.  The only thing in common with Mega Man is that it shares a small bit of structure from those games.  It has its own unique gameplay and settings.  I'm here to invite the Mega Man fanbase to check out our answer to the classic Mega Man gameplay formula, and also to help us make this game a reality via our kickstarter!  More information can be found on the kickstarter page!





Most recently, we've announced another way that Roa will be different than Mega Man, a move to high resolution sprites!  Initially run in 640 x 480 the game will now run in 1280 x 720!  There's less than a week left on the kickstarter, so pledge if you like what you see!

No offense is intended by this comment, but give the characters extra clothing, and I might be remotely interested, but I'm probably not interested, at least yet.

Really, they seem more like Mortal Kombat characters.

lol.  Nothing can get more generic than Mortal Kombat characters, especially the family that Scorpion and Sub-Zero spawned.  :p  It's more of a shoutout to 80s anime that is somewhat colorful but also grim, like Bubblegum Crisis.

...None of these characters are visually interesting.
...Hell, nothing I can see anywhere regarding this is interesting to me.
...Hell, the final boss looks like an evil Lina Inverse.

All the characters adopt two colors that blend. Pretty much just two colors. edit: I forgot to say that they need more variety in coloring.

Give them more clothing and more interesting, and unique designs.

The communicator is the only visually interesting one, and she's only in military clothing. Yeah, uh.. .. uh, yeah.

Change the "final boss." Maybe it's not the final boss, because there's that one male guy + the second block in the story, but still.

It shouldn't take a person who knows how to improve things to know what the flaws in them are. I can't suggest to the story, especially because I'd butcher it.

Briggs is the only male.  His armor melted onto him as a result of his cyber-genesis.  He's not the final boss.

The story is meant to be a red herring.  Play it and you'll see that it has twists and turns, like any good story.  If you think the character designs are sexist, then I'm sorry but this game simply isn't for you at all.
