Title: Question About Double-Posting
Post by: Megaman94 on June 13, 2014, 02:48:07 AM
I know double posting is not allowed on the forums, but is it ok to double post on your own topics? I wanted to ask to make sure it was ok.

Yes. Generally, if you have something new to add that wouldn't befit a simple post edit, double posting is fine.

I guess I'm not really in any authority to speak about this, but that's generally how it seems to be.

You can double post in your own topic, but only if you have a reason for doing so. As in, not posting for the sake of bumping it.

So if I wanted to post a video of one of my maps or give an estimate for a release date of my map pack, it is ok to double post?

I avoid double posting when I can, so if I need to make an announcement and I was the last one to post in my topic, I actually copy and paste my last post into a new post, and add my new content to it. I delete the old post, and submit the new post containing both the old and new content.

That still bumps it, right?
