The Ghoul's Forest / GvH Character Art
« on: June 08, 2012, 06:05:25 AM »
Woo man, it's been like forever since I came back to this forum, I remember when it was all new and shiny and had only a small following of GvH enthusiasts.

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone around here has a link to or knows the source of all the GvH character art that was done before. The character pages are gone from the main site and I remember Frostbite and the new classes that were added for and after Cold Demise had some art done for them too.

The Ghoul's Forest / Re: YOUR ideas for Ghoul and Human classes
« on: December 20, 2010, 04:13:54 AM »
Well if any of those classes are even considered partially acceptable to turn into official classes, there's still a lot of work to be done on them. I'd say Eyesore could possibly make the cut, maybe changed a bit, but seeing as he's the only official yet unplayable ghoul...

On that note...are any classes added from this point even possible to be considered "official"
I mean, technically it was only official if Mike made the class so...

*GvH36.... Oh boy. No one likes overused maps (EternalBlood), its boring. There's nothing addictive about it. We actually skipped this map 5 seconds into game.
*GvH35 and GvH36 is hands down one of the worst maps in the entire GvH mappack. It's just not feeling it.

Others are straight ripoffs.

Well keep in mind GVH36 was not supposed to be in ETBL, it was a fluke, and pretty much ruined any purpose for the map to be used where it was supposed to be (like how everyone remembers it as "that one ETBL map"). Almost every map that was in ETBL shouldn't have been in it.

Also, you could be more specific. Personally I didn't "feel" it for any of the new maps, but that didn't stop me from working on some of them.

On another note, I too noticed the similarity between those 4 maps you mentioned. They were also all made by CarThief, so one could say that's just his style. Do they play well at least? After all, that's what really counts.

So are so many things wrong with the justifications for xat that I don't even need to bother refuting them.

Too bad things didn't work out, oh well. So much for having an official channel  :|

Dunno if this is what you're looking for, but a more specific name is eldridge.esper.net on port 6667

It's a GvH/GTX merger.

Those people obviously need better things to do with their time. If GvH was built for non-team game modes I'd understand but since it isn't I'll say your suggestion is mute.

Solution: Play GvH in TDM/TLMS mode or play another mod.

ohhh... i thought this would be useful

There's an option to "Save Report to Disk." You would want to save it, upload it, link us to it, and maybe someone who can understand the report can tell you what's wrong, those shots don't tell anyone anything.

i forgot to take the photo....

but it was something like "Skulltag found a fatal error. please tell us what you were doing and the type of iWad you were running"

Well...all fatal errors say that. What you need to do is replicate that error and then save the report to disk (click the "Save Report to Disk" button) then upload the disk to a file sharing website. After all that is done, post a link to download the error report and someone will look at it.

I enjoyed the demo, It was pretty fun. Of course a lot of maps and weapons were held back from the demo, so I really can't wait for those.

You could try Doomseeker or IDE for custom iwads, custom skulltag builds,  and saving/loading configs.

14
I think that is the port to the Skulltag master server, which is where you would want to broadcast your server to, unless you wanna play LAN or something.
