Do you realise how long a second is for this kind of fast paced game? It's the same as 10,000 centuries in a MMORPG.

Seriously though. Talk about milliseconds. Frozen for 15 seconds? Might as well be dead already.

Ah, an second is extremely lethal indeed. I mean, you've seen how short a Creeper Stun is and yet it is still enough to take out any hyperactive moving target?

I do kinda like the idea though, mostly due to everything having an disadvantage, unlike some classes... *cough* hunter, *cough* marine *cough*

Even a second or two are game breaking though. Having ghouls who need to move in order to dodge almost everything, *cough* HITSCAN! *cough*, it would be rather difficult to survive while caught in stuff like that. It would mean death the moment you got stunned. :P

Right. Maybe just decrease the slowdown power, and not make it stop, but SERIOUSLY slow down. Oh, and the fact that normal glue stops creepers, if you weren't aware of it, it's a potential camp spot. If the glue were to have white graphics, then creeper would be PERFECTLY camouflaged. Just wait for a human to walk across the glue, bamf.  And about the Jitterskull stays stunned for, yes, about a second, after he crunches. And by the way, I think the extreme blast radius/damage could make up for the speed it takes, and would also be a SERIOUS Creeper deterrent. Also, about the skidding to a stop thing, eh...*clears throat* THE HUNTER'S MAGIC ARROWS DARNIT! He goes at about a walking creeper's speed if he holds a magic arrow, meaning he could even have his soul taken out without needing a creeper stun.

Even so, I agree with CarThief, somewhat. I was mainly thinking of a human that has just about the power (and control difficulties, ha ha) of a Jitterskull, who is incredibly awkward to control (No strafing, teleport-like movemement, etc) yet seriously powerful (can take any human in one full hit, sometimes two in one bite if they're close by. I've done that with a couple of cyborgs).

Oh, and DoomThruDoom, ever fought toe-to-toe in Team LMS with a creeper you simply can't find? Or the other way around, for that matter *Ahem*. BUT, if it's Team DM or smack in the beginning of a TLMS round, that means the complete opposite, which means you're mostly right.

Thanks for the reply, both DoomThruDoom and CarThief. 'Tis my first idea. At least it isn't a noobish uber-fusion of every single class, eh? (INB4 someone says "Then why did you put "Newb" in your name?". Ahem.)

Yes, and I usually win in those situations. Creepers are easy to kill and humans are too blind to see me.

Hmm I came up with an idea for a human class.

The Necromancer

His story: The Necromancer was just like any other of his kind. He wanted to control the undead for his own purposes. He lived in a small hut a good distance from the warzone. He heard news though of a girl who had been killed and was using spirits to fuel her revenge on mankind. That was his job nobody elses. Why is the necromancer mad at his own kind? Well thats a story for another day. The necromancer set out to join the humans even though it pained him to side with them, due to his mastery of the undead he can absorb ghoul's powers and use them as his own. And after he finds the yurei and rips her to shreds, he'll be ready to carry out his own conquest using her very powers...

How he plays: Essentially the necromancer plays like the cyborg, he is a bulky character who moves at a slightly slower speed then he does with a slightly slower firing speed to boost. After killing a ghoul he absorbs there powers and uses them as his own.

His regular attack is just magic darts while his alt fire is a skill that shoots up tombstones from the ground, useful for killing creeper but will not 1hit him.

Sjas: Transparency when immobile, alt fire renders him temporarily invincible.

Jitterskull: Gains a dash skill with alt fire that allows him to maneuver over obstacles like jitter, this only applies while dashing though.

Creeper: Stunballs that have the same affect on ghouls, sjas will not be dragged out of the sky though.

Frostbite: Ice armor with 50 armor points on it, once armor is lowered in number it cannot replenish unless another frostbite is killed. Shoots 3 balls of ice in a spreadshot.

Choke: Movement and attack speed boosted slightly, ability to charge a magical blast which has a AoE around the necromancer. This attack knocks back all ghouls but inflicts minimal damage.

So basically a fusion of cyborg without the jetpack and ghostbuster.

Name: Nightmare (Lame name but idk what else to call it atm)
Everyone has nightmares from time to time. When most people wake up from a nightmare they realize that it was only a dream and that they are safe. But for others, waking up is not enough to escape the danger. Deep inside the dream world lies a horrid demon. One that is said to be so terrifying, that it would scare any ghost or demon back from where it came. It has been said that it likes to torment its victims until they went mad before killing them. The ones who come across this nightmare pray that it kills them in their sleep. The ones who are not so fortunate suffer at the demon’s wraith as it comes to life before the victims eyes. Only heard in myths and legends, this monster only harms the sinners that has murdered the innocents. Luckily the myths and legends were right about that… until it was released. In 1814, a cult attempted to release the demon and try to tame it. Try to make it their weapon against the world. They were successful at releasing the demon, but they suffered the consequences in doing so.
The nightmare slaughtered everyone in the cult for the sin of bringing a demon into the mortal world. The demon was so enraged at how far humans will go to gain power, even if it meant trying to enslave a demon. Nightmare then realized that all humans were the same. They all were sinners for being power hungry beings and would go to any length in gaining that power. No longer did the demon choose who would die based on their sins. Nightmare simply killed all in its path.
From time to time people have claimed to see the nightmare roaming around the area. All the descriptions were similar if not the same. There was no definite figure that the nightmare had. It was simply a blur of shapes and hellish images mashed into one that changed so fast you could not make anything out; Like all the nightmares in the world mixed into one living being. The sounds it made was similar to how it looked. Simply a mix of whispers, faint screams, static, and other hellish sounds that were heard all at once and never stopped.
One night, Nightmare ventured into the Ghoul’s Forest in search of more human victims. Instead, it came across the Creeper, who flee’d at the sight and sound of the new demon. Not knowing what to make of the Creeper, Nightmare followed the ghoul, who went straight to Yurie. Even the Yurie hesitated at the sight of Nightmare but saw how much hate it had towards the human race. Yurie offered Nightmare to join the ghouls to kill off the humans. Nightmare accepted the offer and joined Yurie and the other ghouls.

Since this is on a video I figured it would be best to view it as such. The demon is shown at 1:50 – 1:54 (yes it goes fast but you can see it. There are a few of them)

How it plays:

Powers – When the Nightmare is getting close to a human it will make their vision blurs, darken a little, and shakes while they will take small damage but at a very fast rate. (like one damage per half a second or faster) When the Nightmare it close enough to attack, the human gets ripped to shreds and is killed instantly as horrid images flood their minds. (same type of thing as the Yurie’s attack… but more demonic)

Movement – Normal movement but a little slower than a human. (This is to make sure it is not to overpowered with its vision special attack. Gives the player a chance to run away ;3)

Altfire – Nightmare has one secret attack. It will let out a loud scream that can be heard throughout the entire map and any human close to it will be paralyzed for a few moments and take 20 damage. This attack has to charge up for a while though until it can be used again.

Health – 60 health. I was thinking of a good number to make it so it was still not to overpowered. Change it if it is too much or to less.

Name: The Four Brothers

No one likes annoying people who don’t know when to shut up. And it is even worse when four brothers work together at it. Back in 1429, four brothers, Mike, Zen, Seth, and Luther, lived in a small village. They were the only quadlits (is that what you call them?) ever to be born in the village. Their mother and father however died when they were only five years old, leaving them to fend for themselves. They were able to manage on their own but it was long and hard. By the ages of seven, they developed a strategy to get people to give them what they wanted by a simple, yet strangely effective trick. It was very common to have little children to be annoying and keep asking over and over for something to their parents, but these brothers took it a step further by following villagers everywhere constantly asking them for things until they couldn’t take it anymore and was forced to give them what they wanted. None of the villagers dared strike the children because they did not want to be seen as a child hater. But they could only take so much until something snapped inside them.
One night, all of the villagers decided that they have had enough. They gathered together and kidnapped the four brothers and took them to a large barn. Inside the barn they took the brothers and stuck them onto a cross. With rage inside the villagers minds they tortured the poor children and sewed them together, fusing their skin to one another that disfigured them horribly. The villagers then took them out into a field and tore their waist off, leaving their organs to hang and let them bleed to death. Their screams drowned out slowly as they died in the cold night.
One week later, the four brother’s spirits returned to their rotting dead bodies, still fused together upon the cross, their bodies and faces even more disfigured and shriveled up. Their spirits were nothing but pure rage towards the villagers. They were filled with so much rage that they were able to use their new powers to lift the cross up from the ground and move around freely across the ground. They raced towards the village and slaughtered the villagers, ripping them apart with ease. But even with the villagers killed off, the Four Brothers continued their rampage. For years they traveled the world until one day they ran into the Yurie. The Four Brothers, still as annoying as they were when they were alive, kept asking the Yurie for a lock of her black hair. The Yurie offered a lock of her hair in exchange for them to join the ghouls. The Four Brothers agreed and became part of the ghouls.

Same thing as the Nightmare. In the video at the beginning. It will be shown at 0:33 – 0:55.

How it plays:

Powers – When the Brothers attack they throw the human across the room because they are always spinning on the cross. When they attack they dart forward sharply; Not to far but maybe about two to three humans away? The attack deals 25 damage

Movement – Same as Nightmare. (not sure what to do with this one :/)

Altfire – The Brothers will spin faster, making them “run” faster and deal double damage for a short time. They will need to recharge before they can use the altfire again.

Health – 75

Edit: Sorry I forgot to include why they belong. Well they are probably the most demented ghouls so far (that I know of) and I thought that with these images they will also become very frightening ghouls as well.

Didnt know where to post this, and its not worth a new topic, soooo,
Ive noticed people will make patches that add classes. Quick suggestion is make extra classes more like a "sequel" and get rid of the old ones, not make a mashup of 20 classes per team.

A new idea for a human class.

STORY: A high radiation miner who survived through the most dangerous of the peroidic elements,After a few days after alot of high radiaton mining. In his house in Buffalo,New york. He heard some strange things on the news called as " Ghouls " So he put on his mining suit,Brought 5 grenades. And he joined the fray...

APPEARENCE: A small Hazmat suit hidden under his Bulky armor and a small harness on him and a small chest backpack attached onto his harness. where he keeps his uranium crystals. He also has some technogly in his armor the results of the technogly is a heavy uranium relover.

ATTACKS: Like i said before,The uranium relover. It has 3 phases,In a weapon change. 1: 3 Uranium crystals,turned into grenades will fire out of the relover. 2: Same as 1,But russian roullete style. 3: Same as 1,But rapid fire. Also it will cool down after 10 shots.

HEALTH: 200% Because of the hazmat,Bulky armor combination. ( Have you tried to kill a person with 200 health? Thats like killing an uranium collector,. )

ALTFIRE: The uranium collector will throw out a Grenade,Useless after 5 times.

WHY DOES HE BELONG IN GVH?: I thought of an neat idea of an Uranium collector/miner. I thought it was a neat idea to but him in GVH.

Heres some ideas for the human class

Swat Team member:
A local police officer was responding to a 911 distress call from a neighbor complaining of "inhumane noises and demonic screams" from an abandoned home. The police officer went to investigate the home and his torso was found disembowed trying to crawl away from the abandoned house. His last radio trasmission was as follows "Im pinned down at adress 2984 Main Street! Send swat units ASAP! Unknown attacker has mutilated my legs! Losing lots of blood...OH MY GOD!" Five swat units and two trained paramedics were ordered to secure the location and save the officer. When the team kicked down the door what they saw was horrific. Rotting corpses and pentagrams filled the entire room where the officer was mutilated. A roaring entity sealed off the house and killed off the entire team, except for one fortinate survivor that barely escaped with his life. His dreams haunt him of that surrealistic entity mocking him in his sleep, while his friends souls begged for revenge. While almost losing his santity from that night, he geared up and headed out to kill this evil entity that claimed his friends lives.

Looks: Sprite image from the xxx mercenary beta wad(the stealth class)

Player abilities: Being a formal marksman on his Swat team, he carries a semi automatic Ar-15 rifle. He can pick off Ghouls with a reasonable amount of damage with this rifle. He carries a backup Glock 18 pistol that does more damage than the marines pistol but needs to reload every depleted magazine. He also carries a combat knife that can be used for slashing or throwing but needs to be dangerously close to the ghouls to use this weapon effectively. His alt fire weapon for the Ar/Glock are stun grenades that will effect friendlies and enemies alike.

Weapons: M4a1 semi-auto rifle(ar-15)

A formable weapon that does medium/high damage and has long range capabilites.Has a 30 round magazine and is issued 4 magazines total(120 rounds). Is semi automatic and is very accurate even at medium/long distances with iron sights. Disavantages: Must reload after 30 rounds and has a 10% jamming rate in the middle of a firefight(that must be cleared by reloading the rifle).

Glock 18:

The swat's primary backup choice for the standard issued Ar-15 rifle.Is effective at medium ranges and does slightly more damage than the marines pistols. Unlimited ammo and has 17 rounds for each magazine.

Throwing knife: Every Swat unit is issued with a standard ka-bar combat knife. Primary attack is a slow but powerful slash/stab. Alt fire is the ability to throw the knife but will arc in a short distance and must be retrieved. This weapon is effectively used when ghouls are paralized from a stun grenade.

Stun grenade: Each swat unit is issued with 3 stun grenades that can effect foes and friendlies alike. It "stuns" anything within 6 feet of its blast radius for 2 seconds. Disavantages of the stun grenade is that it can affect humans as well and it cannot be thrown as far as the marines grenades.

Why does he belong?: I've always felt that GvH lacked some kind of mobile marksman character with a rifle. While the hunter and ghostbuster can "snipe" with their abilities, the fact that there is only one character with firearms(the marine). A character that can deliver covering fire is a cool concept while others are reloading/recharging. Also having the ability to stun a ghoul opponent while charging at them with a knife was a cool concept IMO. A skilled player with this type of character can be an effective fighter for his team.

Sprites for the weapons that this character uses can be found @ realm667 under "M16" "Glock 18". I edited a few things of the M4a1 and the glock but I cant edit the firing rate or the damage of the weapons. If your interested in modifying the sprites yourself or telling me how i can modify the firing rate and damage then reply to me. Iron sight sprite for m4a1 belongs to Sergeant Mark IV.

Heres another idea for the Ghoul Class.
What's its Name?
Its story?
Growing up in a middle class neighborhood in the 1950's, David grew up with an abusive alcoholic father and a neglecting mother that had ongoing affairs with the neighbors, David was a victim of unfortinate circumstances. When growing up he was a reclusive but outgoing intelligent young man. Kids at school harassed him and teachers showed no compassion toward his neglecting background. His ongoing obession of the occult as he got older got the better of him as he felt compainship with an unknown entity, that he contacted with a ouija board.This entity claimed it was as old as the land of the giants. The entitys name was Gaol and it told David to do grusome things to his neighbors kids since his neighbors were demoralizing David's mother. Once their kids went missing they automatically contacted the authorities. The police traced the missing kids to David's house and kicked down his door. David was found sitting in a corner rocking violently back and forth while going though mild seizures, mumbling an unknown language. When David was handcuffed Gaol decided to take over his body at this time. David became possessed and gained superhuman strength and slaughtered each officer with his bare hands. David came back to his sences and decided to take his own life over what happened. After this incident his house was boarded up and not one brave soul would ever enter that house. Rumors shot around the neighborhood about people hearing subhuman noises comming from that house every night until one neighbor called the authorities....

What does it look like?
This thing at the end of this video, Pause at 1:17

A good sprite for this character can be found @ realm667 under Beastarity sub catatgory Doom Style. look for "nightmare", thats what it'll look like in solid form. In cloud form look for "blot".

How does it play?
It "sticks and travels" on walls and floors. When it travels children laughter can be heard to alert any humans around. It travels at the same speed as the creeper while on floors and walls and it has 3 charges(like the creeper).  It gets damaged by humans when they shoot it "sticking" on any flat surface or wall. Humans can spot in on the floor by a black figure that's attached onto any wall. Its first person view is similar to the creeper on the ground but it "stands up" while attached to walls(giving it the shape of a human). It flies like sjas while in clould form but after the duration it falls back to the ground.

Its weapons:Cloud life leecher

Gaol can shift its form to a black clould for a duration of 10 seconds(where it can freely travel across the map). When humans stand around this clould it slowly saps their health 1 hp per half second.

Banshee Scream:It latches on to a human(turning their characters spites pitch black) but it can be damaged by shooting at the human when it's screaming. Black blood flies from Gaol when it's attacked. Gaol's victim distigrates after they see Gaols face(like in the video) after the scream duration. The attack duration lasts 5 seconds while Gaol is exposed to open fire. After this process Gaol can freely roam around on the floors/walls again.

Why does it belong? I want a ghoul that will really freak people out and make them shit that good enough explanation? While other ghouls are more offensive and free roaming, this ghoul/demon takes stratgy to use and should only be used by more experienced players.

a ghoul class:

i don't think i need to answer many of the questions in the OP because it's basically already all done.

i'd like to see this character make it into the game as a new ghoul class.  really just because i like how he looks and he already fits in perfectly with the other characters.

as far as function though: i think that the ghouls need a long range, instant damage class.  like the marine.

i think that this character could fit that roll pretty well.  using his biomech eyes for some kind of rapid-fire ocular laser that would fire like the marine's machinegun or pistols.  it'd have limited ammunition of course and possibly different settings of fire.  would play like a class you would expect to be on the human side.  (oh, and humans need a stealth and or melee class that plays a little more like the ghouls.  but i'll let someone else figure that one out. ;)

this would be JUST fantastic IMO.

Eh - I will try that out. I hope the author(s) are easy to find though. I may want to include them in a future release.

I have a new ghoul class in the works already, his name is Jacky, but I'm thinking he'll be a Halloween special most likely (kinda like Santa for Christmas). Probably won't ever be an official class. :)
