Here's my suggestion for a three-stage boss fight
1. You fight CRORQ 2, who is defeated and explodes, revealing the original CRORQ inside its casing.
2. Battle continues vs. CRORQ 1, there is an explosion as the faceplate blows off, revealing Wily to be inside piloting
3. Fight Wily-CRORQ, win, blowing him to the ground, classic victory, etc etc etc woohoo that was awesome
It would be a shame not to include both CRORQs in some fashion, at least. They're both some of the most unique parts of their respective games

I'm planning on doubling the floating frames for his walking animation right now, and after I got this far I realized that on the spritesheet from the game his air tank is kind of fatter and highlighted differently than I've done it, so I may mess with that a bit too.
What do you guys think?

Bot chats, making the bots themselfs is simple and can't be done until the skins are done.
And according to Blaze he made the Wave with Megaman and Megaman has the pk3. There is also the Wave I made so there are two different ones. Both has differences, I personally feel both have there ups and downs.

I like the style of the belt in Blaze/Megaman's more, but I like how I kept it purple. Firing animation idea was good in mine but execution was better in theirs. Mine is easier to tell the difference between him and Air from behind.
Maybe this be one of the things we vote on, or maybe make an agreement to perhaps mix the two? Use theirs and add the purple, and the back (the back is pretty handy in knowing if you are running at Airman or Waveman)

As much as I appreciate the offer, Forte, I was thinking a little more along the lines of original compositions. Plus, some of these are used in map packs, and (if I ever do brush the dust off of the GB expansion) these songs will be used in there, too, though honestly I doubt that'll happen...
I think DarkAura proposed a song for Bit Man a while ago...
1st: I think a GB Expansion would be pointless as most stages are made to have the same theme (and have the same pallet), so it would just be more remade maps, minus fortress stages. The only new music is Fortress stages, cut scenes and MMWII. Only MMV needs an expansion cause it was the only that added any new elements. (Also Flash, Heat, Quick, Bubbles don't even have there own stages. And Napalm, Crystal, Charge and Stone have almost identical pallets. I have an idea on how to do those maps though but it ain't on topic to this expansion)
2nd: Many fanmix songs have all these bops and boops that don't sound NES.
3rd: GB Airman was used in Sky Way (which there are 3 versions included in the pack), and GB Metal used in "Decommission Facility" both in the IX pack.
Except that the original game has no music... :D

Also the advantage of using songs from a Megaman game is, we don't need the composers permission (how many people have been taking that into account with there maps btw?) also no one needs to make a song.

Free Stage 1 - Wily Stage 1 Done Right: works well for the Fortress or a water stage.
Megaman Free Stage 3: could fit maybe Dyna.

For now lets get the skins done, work on getting mappers going once we have the textures. Then when we have those done we have stuff to show and if we go asking about making music we have more to go one. So until then place holder music from the base game will work.
We will also need someone (people) to make the weapons sense Lego already said we aren't aloud to use his. To keep them different from his we can use the suggestions I made unless the creators want to do there own thing.

Well if he donates them then it works, besides game accurate wise Bit cannon would be useless, and Oil Stream and Torch Arm would be the exact same thing.
Though there is still the thing of Shark Boomerang works EXACTLY the same as Ring Boomerang, when I tried them I even shot one then switched to the other and it even moved the same way. Oh and Torch Arm still needs a color scheme for when you have it set. May I suggest Pink with Red as similar to below?

I'm a bit proud of the map. All texture's are place holders. I'm hoping the new water won't have the same effect on weapons, cause so far the water I used (Centaur's) makes shots that touch them disappear, which is a problem for Gemini Laser and Ring Boomerang (the other weapons are good minus Bubble Lead if you are standing in the water when you fire it). The upper areas of the north and south of the map are possible Tox Man/Other enemy paths (much like the Ostriches in Wood's map).
Tell me any suggestions, I'm not great with heal pickup ratio.

@Star: Torch arm is replacing the 2 Fire Storms, the Gemini Laser in the middle will be replaced by Sonic Wave, and Bubble Lead will be replaces by Water Shooter. Ring Boomerang may be replaced by Shark Boomerang. Then we will work from there and see what changes will work to make it better.
@Lego: It will be done by my standpoint once it has it's own textures, currently the ceiling, floor, waterfalls and water are from Centaur's map, and the walls are from Toad. Also when we get the two good maps to your standards the placeholder weapons need to be swapped with the PC weapons they are holding for. I'm looking for feedback because I know less about the standards the community has so its best for me to listen to everything suggested. And the "double ladder"? Its a wall thats 64 (doom builder units?) long, should I cut it back to 32 and make more ladders so the will be single ladders?

I'll make less dead ends, they will all be loops. Though that raises the "getting confused" problem. To make this map authentic its either loops that are easy to get lost in, or dead ends.

Fire Storm is a place holder for Torch Arm, Spark Shock is a place holder for Bit Cannon, Yamato Spear may be replaced by Water Shooter or stay, Gemini Laser is a place holder for Sonic Wave or may be swapped for another weapon due to the water.
Spark Shock and Magnet Missile are down the larger dead end paths.
Ladders on 3rd floor are telepoints to the street, the "man holes" are telepoints back down to the main area.
All textures are temporary, the "Cossack Top"s are placeholders for the houses.
The top needs bridges/3D Floors and some bridges/3D Floors connecting the middle with the second floor.
Well Nemz finished the texture pallet for Torch, and I tried my hand at transferring them in, but I'm going to admit it is not my strong point.
If anyone would mind doing adding the new textures? Lego already did the 3D floors and suggested maybe widening the halls more and adding more to the ground level.

I attempted Blade Man's map. I don't think it looks too bad, but it's definetely not up to Vanilla standards. The dam has rushing water which can push you into the instagib lake down below, but Crystal Eye is in the middle sector, which is devastating in the underhalls!
Weapons include: Air Shooter, Needle Cannon, Metal Blade, Power Stone, Shadow Blade, and Crystal Eye. As always, the textures are simply placeholders. Metal Blade is definetely going for Blade Launcher, while Power Stone will most likely be replaced. In the grassy area, I'm thinking about putting around some piping to make it not look all bland... thoughts so far?

the "F<stage>" thing was saying the name of the files straight out of Megaman 3 for DOS, not to be mistaken for the file names for this expansion, I was posting that to let it be known what they called Blade's stage.
As for his stage, it seems to be a water purification plant of some kind, there is one in Fallout 3 (and outside D.C. hence in Fallout 3), also one in an episode of Teen Titans, I don't remember what they are called, they tend to be outside cities so that could be where the stage name comes from.

Question... Why don't bouncing weapons work in the water?
I wish I knew, but if the floor is water then they just despawn on it. Crystal Eye can still work but two or three of the small shots will get stuck in place. Danger Wrap thankfully still works. Also something about the water floor script makes weapons that raise first mess up such as Bubble Lead, and Search Snake, but the only effect it has on search snake is it won't go up but it will act as normal, bubble lead on the other hand will just despawn when fired, in order to use Bub Lead you need to jump or not be standing in the water.
Pulverize ion-sucking Batimms and other insidious insectobots.
So they are robots, they just looked like real ones.

It's maps that always drag an expansion down. So we're going to need some professional help... But just who?
For prop and actors Lego offered to do actors if we got two maps, I'm guessing he ment the same requirements for his weapons I'm going to assume so. If we get two good maps the actors will be covered.
Music wise I know: Bit has a song (which was pretty much set in stone before this started back up), Wave has 2 options I believe (that last you suggested was perfect IMO), I think Shark has one, Sonic/Torch have at least one shared option, Torch also has the song Llama gave as an option.
Just some actor ideas I had. Sonic: Fish Launchers for under water segment. Turrets/Valves for out of water segments
Volt: Spider reskins of Cockroaches.
Dyna: the assembly line. and sense Nemz textured it wall spikes.
Bit: Maybe Toxmen standing around. Oil drips/fire
Shark: school of fishes similar to the bubble spawner from Dive/Bubble. Splashwoman fish swimming outside the map.
Wave: Turret reskin of Crowrang if any. Or maybe Toxmen running around areas unable to be gotten to.
Oil: Roaming Toxmen if any. Oil Drips.
Blade: Bubbles in underwater section, not much else comes to mind.
Torch: nothing comes to mind.
Again just ideas I had.

Yes, I did many different explosive weapons, that was on purpose.
Top Left = Level One: The warehouse region, height difference in boxes create paths and cover. (Current textures for boxes are Charge) Middle has drop down to level two, diagonal paths have the drop down from level three.
Top Right = Level Two: The lava lake, upper middle platform is the landing spot, health and weapon energy on 3D platforms over lava. Upper corners have drop down to level three.
Bottom Middle = Level Three: The caves, narrow pathways that offer cover and loop around, middle houses a small lava pool with Nuclear Detonator (Hyper Bomb) in the middle of it and conveyor belts push into the lava. The corners in the middle drop down the level one.
Possible Bee Actors in Warehouse rooms. Possible Assemble Line Actors in Conveyor Belt room. Possible Trash Dropper in Conveyor Belt room.
All based on what is made.
Lego has been given a none scripted version already. Currently 48 Spawn points.

I'll list the differences too.
Bit: Visor, slightly redone front and back frames, different running frames (keeps his arms up), electric strip on back of head, different hurt frame.
Shark: Shaded in face, hand in a front/r frame has a different position, eye's have color, vents on back of head.
Oil: New hurt frame, visor, mask vents longer
Blade: Visor (that is all)
Torch: Visor, new standing frame (he holds the torch down instead of up)
I guess I could pull NemZ out of the grave and see if he's up to it.
Also start looking for a boss theme to use for the maps.

Stage needs work. Not sure if I like the purple anymore, but I definately think that the grass is fugly. Why would there be grass in an industrial refinery anyway? Perhaps I need a brick color that won't clash so much so you have more options to use outside... Hell, contemplating some major overhauling the colors all together.
You are witnessing software ruining custom textures, something that will be fixed in v3a.

Some minor improvements to Oil Man. Made the ground concrete at suggestions of people (looks pretty boring but not bad I guess) and did some height variations with the silos, among some other things. Discuss.

The one of the left is 320x320x320, the middle is 256x256x256 and the one on the right is 192x192x192
That gives you a LOT of leeway because using it you should be able to easily make anything using numbers between those.

While I'm over here saying hello, are there any other maps that haven't been tackled?
Well, I guess testing would have to be in order for Oil Stream's stuff to be effective...
But yea...I found 2 suggestions I take a little bit of a liking to...
1. Making Oil Stream deal damage over time if hit by a fire weapon directly afterward
2. Making Oil Stream partially blind players while it's in use - Kind of prefer this one, but I WILL need a sprite for its HUD
An idea I came up with was make it like Oil Slider and have it make a puddle that can be burned...but nah
Another idea...perhaps not too good of one...but why not? Have it slow the player down while they're covered in oil and literally double their speed when on fire...
The hard part will be putting out the fire while under water and even THAT can be solved easily. (even in Diveman/Bubbleman, which Mess didn't do in PU)
BTW, no matter what you guys do to the RM names, the weapon names are staying the same, if you insist on changing them, I will ONLY change them in the obituary and pickup message, sorry, but I will not be dealing with that.
I also came up with an idea for a weapon, so I am going to make that soon because ACS is fun...

As the water level begins to raise until it starts draining these appear around the map. They do not hinder your movement, just your sight.
