Look, we don't have any textures. I originally thought this was going to be dead until I got some tiles...

Your bump has changed this.

I'm sorry, I don't know where any maps are, or how to rip them. You'll have to get them yourself and recolor them.

And I'm going to need to see some of your work.

Textures for this game do not exsist in a good format, they are all oversized and greyscale, so there's really no point until NemZ comes along

Just so you guys know the maps are all available at vgmaps.com, they just need to be separated into tiles and recolored in photoshop or whatever.  This is an easy one, a good place to start if anyone else wants in on the tile making scene.

Why did it take me this long to notice the textures are pretty much the same for half the stages?

It would be easy just gotta figure out the measurements for the backgrounds mostly and what colors to use to give it some flare.

I did Clock and Compass palletes, I kept them grey so someone with a better feel can try there hand at coloring them.

Also as Lego said, remember, this game had different scaling then NES games.

Bumps are fun.

I recently dug Komuso Man out of the ground, because I'm tired of waiting for Megaman to finish it. Since I've gotten a little better, I tried again:



The most notable changes are fixing his head on the front, side, and back, making him thinner on the side sprites, and also fixing his shoulders for consistency, among other minor modifications. I also scrapped the walking sprites because they suuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked.

Any comments or critiques are appreciated.

I had made a slightly better standing frame a while ago...I would show you, but I don't know whare I put it and I do not have it on Image Shack.

I can't really tell much of a difference between this and your older version....

EDIT: ok, the head looks much better

From how it was it is better. Maybe make the pupils lower in the eyes so it looks like he is looking down instead of up.  Whats the arms out animation for?  I'm guessing firing frame? If so he can just have the playing the flute as the only one.  As for running animations maybe a dash, just one animation which is exactly how he "ran" in the game, and Compass had a running animation so it wasn't a limitation.

Most skins have two firing animations? Anyone with a buster doesn't have two. And blow through the pipe then swing arms outward? Does that make sense?

And lazy or not it is accurate to the game, the dashing was his Doppler Crash which when Rock used he dashed forward with a single animation as well, also think that Komuso was using abnormal abilities.  Think of his running animation like Magic Man, Magic dashes back and forth with no leg movement, and I don't think his skin will be having any leg movement.  If you want more frames for his run have one where he swaps which arms are up and changes every two frames.

EDIT: Ok going through I was wrong, but there is a mix of who does and doesn't have two.  If you can't think of something sensical don't make one that looks out of place the other animation.

So, uh, guys...

I'd like to kind of get the last two skins done, and I'm a little busy. So who could help? Llama originally was working on Konro, but I don't know if wants to do it (I tried those rotations but couldn't get them right) and walking is pretty eihjihjiorhjiogji for my skills so Komuso is somewhat difficult for me to do.

And other than that, we're done. So... can anyone help?
