How do you make classes?
« on: March 13, 2014, 02:08:14 PM »
Hello, I am PotatoStrike. I was exploring the forum when suddenly, I found a lot of posts talking about classes.

And that's why I want to make my own classes. But I don't know how. Can you help me please?

I can't use the template because it is a Skulltag File. Is there a way to Open Skulltag files with something other than Skulltag?

First off, get SLADE3
Right click the file > Open With > Find where you've put Slade in > Select "Slade" > Open with Slade.

Or, just install SLADE3, run it, then go to OPEN and find where you've put the template.

As far as I know, Doom Builder is only for making maps. So I would say no.

As for the class template, is anyone going to update it to be compatible with V4 anytime soon? You can't really use that without doing things with the SBARINFO and whatnot, as it won't even start up in Zandronum.

Right click the file > Open With > Find where you've put Slade in > Select "Slade" > Open with Slade.

Downloads, there is a box labelled Latest Official Release, click slade_302.zip -or- setup_slade_302.exe.

Also you cannot open pk3 files in Doom Builder, but you can in SLumPEd/SLADE. They are archives meant for ZDoom/Zandronum to run. I also feel that Skulltag is what Zandronum used to be called, hence you having the computer telling you the pk3 is a Skulltag file.

Well, he must not have gotten rid of Skulltag yet.

@FlareBlitz: What do you even mean that Slade 3 isn't showing up? Did you download it?

@Dr. Cragser I managed to find it. I normally check a certain folder.  It was in another folder.
