Hey, this is a general discussion topic in which to post things that you'd like to see in future Mega Man games and stuff that you would like to see in fan-made remakes of old games.

The reason why I made this is I have quite a few and I am sure other people do to.
Mega Man 1:
*Boss select set up like all the others with faces and Time Man and Oil Man
*Rush!

Mega Man 2:
*Rush
*More than 1 way to destroy that one boss in the fortress

Mega Man 3:
*Either make rush jet like all the other rush jets or make the mega Man 3 rush jet the one that is in every game

Mega Man 5:
*I'd like a weapon after you defeat Dark Man

Mega Man 7:
*FC fixed any complaints I had with this!

Mega Man 8:
*FC fixed any complaints I had about this!

Mega Man 9:
*Fake Man weapon please after you beat him like they did in Mega Man 10 with Enkor, Punk and Ballade

*Mega Man 10:
*Why not a fourth bonus stage with Quint?

Mega Man 4,5,6,7&8:
*In Mega Man 9 they demoted the buster to single, no charge shots, keep it consistent

Mega Man 3,4,5,6,7&8:
*In Mega Man 9 they took away the slide, keep it consistent

I'd find it interesting to see the ability to play as any of the robot masters from 1-6 in a remake of those games, all in one game.

I only wished Mega Man 1 wasn't rushed and we would get all the extra abilites (ducking, ect) and the two extra stages. Probably Water Man and Time Man.

We need a full-length game similar to Wily Tower in the Wily Wars.

Like ice said, more tango and lots of Rockman 4 MI awesomeness! Not to forget Roll as a playable character!

Also I've been thinking that they could make MM11 (if they make it) like a fixed up version of Megaman 8! Y'know, like that but with all the bad or un-good parts taken out and lots of fast pased action! That would be good!

Instead of repeating the MM11 thread, let me fix some of the hundred ways to fix MM2

-Fix the Tilesets
-Make invisible floors slightly easier to notice
-Buff Crash Bomb's ammo to 28
-Make it so that you can switch weapons to cancel a Time Stopper usage
-What I said above but with Items 1, 2, and 3
-Make the Alien and Buebeam Trap be able to be damaged with Mega Buster
-Nerf Metal Blade's ammo count by half
-Buff Metal Man's Metal Blade resistance
-Remove the pipi from the first section of the climb section in Crash Man's stage (as the sky gets darker)
-Make it so that Leaf Shield is removed once you press the fire button


There's so much more, but I'd rather not list ALL of it.

Sure hope one of them on the non complete list is to make Wily 3 not suck HARD

One thing I just thought of, a complete cycle of weaknesses in Mega Man 3 (5 and 3) and Mega Man 8 (4 and 4 with the possibility of a cycle of 7 but not 8).

Megaman 2 isn't that bad, but it's not better than others like MM5 or 4 or 6 or 7fc or 10....well, I can't really judge because I like all the MM games I've played.

2's the worst in terms of Level Design, Music, and Weapons.

Even MM1 had better weapons.

I wouldn't say it was the worse. It's just Metal Blade overshadowed basically every other weapon outside of boss battles, that their usefulness was shunned. I actually disagree in that I prefer MM2 weapons.
Guts arm was situational.
Hyper Bomb was horrible when trying to hit with it.
Rolling Cutters was pretty meh. I never got much use.
Fire Storm was decent.
Elec Beam was basically the best.
Ice slasher was over shadowed by Elec Beam.
And then Magnet Beam of course.

I really like the Megaman 1 weapon set actually!

Rolling cutter was great. It had very good power and a nice way of movement, along with 28 ammo.
Super Arm was limited but then again, you're throwing big rocks that are instant kill on almost everything.
Ice Slasher was basically a really good freezing weapon.
Hyper Bomb was fun to use, just in the right hands and killed nearly everything.
Fire storm was just plain awesome and that shield was really useful against many things. It also did a lot of damage
Elec Beam was good and powerful, just like you said.

I dunno, I just really like them

Megaman Universe coming back for one thing (Bit off-topic but still) with the fixes Llama stated.

But damn, give us like a big energy stock before the Buebeam Trap so we don't have to grind on the Sniper Joe right before it, or make it so that one miss doesn't doom us! SOMETHING!

Make MM8 less gimmicky! I mean, every stage had a gimmick and it was annoying as fuck! Sure, other stages had gimmicks but it was either for a short section of a stage (Gutsman's platforms in MM1) was something that was easy to learn (Slippery stages, Pharaohman's sand pits) or there was a complete way to bypass it (Heatman's Yoku Blocks from MM2, bypassable by using Item-2) I don't want a puzzle that takes up half the stage, I want to blow up robots! Not stand on freaking boxes! I want to go "PEW PEW PEW" and make stuff go "BOOOOOOOOOOM" not go through a platforming puzzle everywhere I go!

Also, Hard Hat 4 has Number-Man in it.  I think he's good, interesting, canon and all that...but then again, I still haven't beaten him.

I'd like to see the original Sniper Joes making a return! Really, those guys were proper enemies that were trying to stop you and I always found them fun to fight. I also like the way they suddenly jump out of nowhere to attack.

I hate the fact that they reduced megaman back to his piddly peashooter in MM10. I wouldn't mind them making protoman unique and all, but don't take all of megaman's abilities and put them on protoman.

The idea is that Proto's a glass cannon--he takes double damage, but he deals triple (Charge shot).  If they let Mega charge his buster, too, nobody's going to use Proto.  Like, at all.  Because face it, that shield alone isn't reason enough to take double damage.

.....I kinda shoulda figured that protoman took double damage because my health would drop every time I got hit (Strikeman's stage. Grrrrrr....) I feel like an idiot. :?

I wish Mirror Buster never got that nerf =| It really wasn't needed.. FUNNY HOW THE BOSS GETS A BUFF BUT THE WEAPON GETS A NERF. GOOD JOB CAPCOM. Samething with Screw Crusher but the boss didn't really get the buff, mega got the nerf which made the boss harder. Ballade Cracker NEEDED that nerf though.

I personally do find the double damage a bit annoying. I know it's to make him unique and all and that he isn't as well armoured but c'mon really? He takes a ridiculous amout of damage from attacks! It drains the fun a bit and would be better if he just took 50% more or something.

To me, if you remove the RTS part and just make it fighting Mega Man as the Robot Masters, that would be an awesome game.

I still think that it'd be short because what would happen after you beat megaman?

Maybe this could be multiplayer. One person would control the RMs/Wily and one would control megaman/protoman, who would also have the shop and items as an advantage.
If megaman were CPU controlled, if there was a part where he fell or died, he'd make the same mistake over and over and over again until he ran out of lives. He probably wouldn't use his tanks either.

Methinks the game would be more of an arcade deal, and you would be able to control every single boss. You would essentially see how fast you can defeat Mega Man.

Well, obviously the Mega Man would have to learn from his mistakes. That would be incredibly hard to code, I believe.
He could also be coded to use tanks, and perhaps on different difficulties.

Obviously, the concept isn't perfect, and I doubt it would ever happen, but yeah.

I think its clearly obvious which ones I had to create. If anyone would like to tamper with them (Dark Man, Fake Man, Punk, Ballade and Enker) feel free and resubmit it. And if anyone knows someone who is good at programming, please give this to them as an idea so that maybe, some day this will actually be the ultimate Stage select!

I think Tornado Man is too bright, the colors for the MM7 bots needs to be like RM7FC, and the mugshots for Punk, Ballade, Enker, and Darkman could use some touch-ups. Otherwise that's impressive.

He'd hover with his jetpack and have a "rocket fist" attack where he extends his fist forward, like that one weapon in Ape Escape. He wouldn't be able to collect Master Weapons, but he'd have a couple weapons of his own, most notably his Fireworks Cannon from MM8. Some other ideas are Fan-a-rama, Step Dash, and Eddie Item.

Maybe, like Zero in Megaman X4, he'd unlock his own weapons (like what you've suggested and more) by beating the RMs?

Personally I really dislike a LOT of the original Net Navi designs (which is pretty ironic since I'm heading that .EXE project and all). I mean, have you SEEN Circus Man? A bloated fat-ass with six hands that transforms into a tent and tries to sit on you to death... NOT FUN, CAPCOM.

... Though I must admit Number Man was pretty cool. Oh, and Gate Man. He was the only Famous Navi I actually liked.

But something bugs me about Jupiter... take away the mouth. That's not supposed to be there. Just realized that's his cheek, ha ha.

Ballade and Sunstar look a little demented.

Also, there is an official mugshot of Fake Man. (at least I think so)

Look around for cutscene art of MM9.  You should find a frame of Dr. Light in a cage with Fake-Man standing beside it, looking at the camera.
Crop that image and it'd make a mean mugshot for him.

Personally I really dislike a LOT of the original Net Navi designs (which is pretty ironic since I'm heading that .EXE project and all). I mean, have you SEEN Circus Man? A bloated fat-ass with six hands that transforms into a tent and tries to sit on you to death... NOT FUN, CAPCOM.

... Though I must admit Number Man was pretty cool. Oh, and Gate Man. He was the only Famous Navi I actually liked.

Yes, but as you know, they change the look of a lot of the Navi's than their original counterpart so the other way around should be the same and the changes could be cool instead of the "bloated fat-ass with six hands that transforms into a tent and tries to sit on you to death".

Interesting.  I came into this thread just to suggest something like this.  A game where you can fight all of the Robot Masters and get all of their weapons.  Of course, Wily's castle would have to be absolutely immense as well.  Also, some weaknesses may have to be adjusted to allow for cross-game weapon usage against the Robot Masters.  For example, what does Metal Blade do to Tengu Man?  Or what does Wave Burner do to Snake Man?

Roll is up there because you can play as her in Mega Man Powered up. This also a list of robots that appear in the traditional Mega Man 2-D styles games. The only boss up there that does not have Man after it are the Stardroids, King, Duo and the Doc Robots. If I were to add Auto, I would also have to add Rush, Treble, Eddie, Tango, Reggea and any other assisting character I can think of. So for right now, unless Capcom says otherwise this is mostly complete. The reason why I have not added the DOS robot masters is because (a) I don't have 8-bit versions and (b) they have changed as they enter the 8-bit games (blade man and wave man). However, if someone gives me 8-bit faces of the other 7, I will put them up there unless (or until) they are changed.

However, I will only put up pictures of the PC masters that have not appeared in other Mega Man games (So oil man, blade man, etc would not be included) and Dark Man 4 is sufficient to cover all the Dark Man Versions in my opinion.

I have ALOT of them
MM1= Etanks, sliding, charging, rush and the password system
MM2= other ways to beat the buebeam trap and wily alien, charging, sliding
MM3= topmans weapon being throwing tops, charging
MM4= the megabuster acting like it is in 5 and 6, rush jet acting how it was in MM3
MM5= the regular rush coil
MM6= toning down tomahawkman on the difficulty
MM7= easier wily capsule
MM8= super adaptor, Etanks, NO VOICE ACTING!
MM&B= the difficulty toned down
MM9= the difficulty toned down
MM10= bass being able to do his double jump

Frankly i'mOK with mm8 not having E-tanks becuase it has all those rush items. (I love the bike thing, heheh)

MM1: Remove the pause glitch
MM2: Everything
MM3: Nothing
MM4: Nothing
MM5: Replace all DarkMan stages and make the weapons not suck
MM6: Replace sounds
MM7: Nothing
MM8: Make pause menu take less time to open up, remove voice acting.
MM9: Err, nothing
MM10: Nothing

The only real thing that hold back the MM5 weapons is the slight invincibility that all enemies get.  The weapons don't need changing, that does. If that was tweaked, water wave would do 3 damage!

I subscribe to the idea that the charge shot is the real problem there.  As much as I enjoyed 4 and 5 I almost never used any of the weapons from either game unless I was fighting a boss.  3 and 10 had much worse weapons overall and I still used them fairly often.

I didn't really realize this until I saw geminilaser's youtube series (http://www.youtube.com/user/GeminiLaser).

Dead serious. They add a puzzle-like element to the game. I don't see why people really hate Yoku Blocks, they're fun!

The problem I have with them is how they can cripple the flow of the gameplay. ESPECIALLY when I'm trying to get through them and then one suddenly appears strait above my head while I'm above a bottomless pit. I'm not skilled at jumping up that, so for that second I know that I'll have to plunge to my doom, unsatisfied.

Heck, Yoku blocks are actually why I hate RNC's Wily stage 4 so much. That beginning section is HORRIBLE, and it holds me back in bothering to play through the whole game along with the other fortress stages

Once Again, another update with the Ultimate Stage Select. I found better faces for the Robot Masters from MM&B 2.

Yes, I know that three of the robot masters from MM3 PC are not on there. I eventually plan on putting the names under the faces so I do not want repeats on there.

It's very cool so far. You could refer to them as "Washman", "Shredman" and "Lubeman" or something like that.
Anyways,not trying to be greedy, but how 'bout adding Ra Thor and the Constellation Droids?

You need to include Rockman Shadow too! He's separate from quint and you have the RM&F2 RMs there so might as well. (Where did you get the RM&F2 mugshots from? If it's from what I think it is then it should in theory have R. Shadow mugshot too)

Yeah, I checked the sheet in question. R. Shadow had no mugshot in game, anyway, so it wasn't provided.

Not a huge loss, anyway- he was the pentimulate boss of the game, so mayb he shouldn't be fea- shut up Sunstar I see you up there

I really think that a fan game should be made with every single stage from Rockman 1-10 (7 and 8 being FC versions) and the biggest chunkiest wily fortress ever with all of the stages

I know its been a while, but I really want to see this in a Mega Man Game: (Fan made or official). I think it would be cool to select your character and defeat everyone else unlocking it like a grid. So If I started as Dark Man, then I would have the options of fighting Oil Man, Bomb Man, Snake Man and Hard Man. And if I beat Snake Man then Bubble Man, Wave Man, and Ballade would be unlocked to fight.

It's hard to believe after all this time there are still characters missing from this compilation.  R. Shadow, Ra Thor, Mega Man?, and everyone from Rockman Strategy (http://megaman.wikia.com/wiki/Rockman_Strategy) are still not present.  I guess if we really wanted to get technical, the Roboticized Masters from Worlds Collide (http://megaman.wikia.com/wiki/Roboticized_Masters) could be added too.
Also, just out of curiosity, why weren't mugshots for the Robotic professors added from the get-go?

1) the Picture is blurry because when I uploaded the file on tumblr (what I use to get the pictures online) it squeezed it. The one I have on my computer looks pretty still! If you know how to fix that, let me know.

2) I am not good at making 8-bit faces and no one has directed me towards said faces in 8-bit in a standard square type format.

3) Because they are not robots!

As far as the names go, I always interpreted the fact that the names were used later (blade, wave, oil) to reinvent them in the case of the classic series. Not everyone agrees with that, but its a big fan-base so differing opinions are going to exist.
