If no serious problems with this build are found, we can move ahead with the stable release of 2.0. So this is your chance to make sure that 2.0 will suit your needs. Be sure to use it and test this build thoroughly.

Pretty much what this reads. Once Zandronum 2.0 is released, everyone will be moving to it. If something breaks with MM8BDM, it could be disastrous. Anyone want to test MM8BDM with this?

Can you feel it? Can you feel the moment many of our prayers will be answered? I can feel it now...

We've known this for a while.

We [and by we I mean Mess] have been hard at work on making a v4c so we can keep up with Zandronum's development cycle. The updates are merely fixes for things that imploded when testing in the updated game and there was going to be an announcement thread somewhat soon related to it, but it was gonna be closer to release of the final version of 2.0.

V4c currently addresses the teleport issue mentioned in the above pastebin, as well as fixes weird things that crept up when swapping engines, like fake contrast weirdness, remote mine and copy vision shitting themselves on maps with horizon lines, and eddie just straight up not working.

Wasn't there the problem of the map order being completely out of whack, too?

Yeah that's getting addressed too, the map load order had to be completely redone to work around it.
The wad load order was switched from the way it was configured in the wad to order by game so we needed to update it so that the map list wouldn't have CTF in the middle of deathmatch maps.

As an additional note:  If there are any bugs that have not been reported in the bugs forum yet, now would be a good time to mention them.

Uh, I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it's a security thing, but when I try to play MM8BDM at all on my new laptop, the application terminates. It then is deleted from the folder I'm using, with the rest of the files following suit. After that, the folder itself is deleted. I'm using Windows 8 with Norton security installed, if that helps.

1) This has nothing to do with Zandronum 2.0.
2) This likely has everything to do with your antivirus because according to Mike, he used a weird protocol to download the banner for the launcher.

Try launching the game through Doomseeker or ZDoom Launcher.

For either, you simply need to set megagame.wad as the iwad and MM8BDM-v4b.pk3 as the first pwad [added file.]

i have been testing the alpha of 2.0 and i found no problems. i have only tested a few maps though so further testing might be useful. at least the network problem in version 1.3 is fixed.(failure to connect for no apparant reason.) as for the deletion issue mentioned it could be windows 8 related as it have insane security. update: i have now tested every level and here is the issues i found: mm1bom bombman, mm1dw1 wily`s hideout. mm7fre freeze man and  mm8dw1 skull tower base have graphical glitches where the background fails to render properly. pharao man`s stage seems to have an issue where the sand does not slow the player much. one good thing is that if i choose a level that is incompatible with game mode it chose a compatible mode instead of displaying an error. i apologise for the number of edits but i had to do it as my memory is bad so i would just forget what levels i found issues on.
