Mega Man Discussion / Re: Mega Man 11
« on: April 29, 2018, 02:22:40 PM »
After the game got announced, I immediately went to my desk to start making a robot master that I want to send to Capcom for this game.
His name is Glass Man, And please tell me it's a brand new robot master that I can suggest to be one of the villains of Mega Man 11. :)

I do believe there is not a Glass Man, however I'm pretty sure they already designed the Robot Masters for the game by this point.

Guys, it's happening.

Looks neat, I'm quite glad they're going with a 3D artstyle this time, I hope it turns out well. Seems they might have some interesting mechanics.

Honestly, I think what we could use is something new. While classic 8-bit style gameplay is nice, I think we could use something out of left field to give the franchise new life. I'm thinking a third-person shooter (not cover-based but more mobility-based) with modern graphics, but still sticking to the artistic style Mega Man is known for. I've had a few ideas for mechanics (such as a lock-on where you can aim with the right stick to be more precise, and in order to hit a moving target) and how the weapons would interact (like the Rolling Cutter normally going either a set distance or until it hits something before returning, and if you're locked on and aim to the side it boomerangs in a way to hit them on the side; useful against Sniper Joes).

While a traditional platformer would be nice of course, something like this could renew interest in the series.

I'm not sure what crouching has to do with this project. This is about a HUD, not about skins.

I'll have to get used to this.

Hm. Once I get a good mugshot, perhaps. Unless there is one I didn't know of.

Grab the v5 compatible version in the opening post. If there are any issues, please let me know.

8/10 Pretty good, though I think I'm missing obvious symbolism.

My guess is no, at least not in the forseeable future.
Since that's what he said.

Ah, and it also fixed the problem with text appearing on the bar. Yay.

I'll upload the new version shortly.

Well, this isn't the BEST place to show this off, so I should probably join a Doom forum or something.

I made a minor mod that adds three difficulties. They share a similar theme: Increasing the amount of damage done both to you and your enemies, as well as reducing the amount of ammo you pick up. Each one has enemies with a bit more health and do a bit more damage than the last, with Maximum Carnage having faster enemies and Ultimate Carnage having them respawn.

Honestly, I'm rather disappointed that there isn't an 8-bit cover of Mega Man Soccer's soundtrack.

Or you could be like modern game devs and release it early with bugs and incompleteness, saying you'll patch it later.
