CUTSTUFF MAPPING JAM 2: THE CAPTAIN FALCONING

SHUT UP FREEMAN WE JUST FINISHED THE FREAKING SLAM JAM GET OUT OF HERE!

Ok, let's wait for a bit.

So the normal game jam is that you have to get in groups and make a game in a limited time span. We just got done with the groups.
So let's get with the speed.

IT'S LABOR DAY WEEKEND!
AND WHAT BETTER WAY TO SPEND YOUR VACATION THEN MAKING MAPS FOR A MEGA MAN RELATED DOOM MOD?!

The goal of this jam is to make a map in 48 Hours! No more than that!
THAT'S RIGHT! 48 HOURS! THIS ISN'T PLAYTIME AT THE PARK!
THIS IS A MAPPING
SPEEEEEEDRUN

BUT GOODNESS GRACIOUS FREEMAN THERE'S A FEW THINGS YOU NEED TO GO OVER!

You'll be moving at the speed of light to hopefully obtain this sexy medal!


Unless certain things don't apply, then you can just get another Fun Medal.
CAUSE IT'S FUN!

BUT WAIT FREEMAN?! DON'T REALLY GOOD MAPS TAKE TIME?!
OF COURSE THEY DO!
BUT WE GOT NO TIME TODAY!


Ok serious time, here are some general guidelines.
-You may use any texture you want as long as it's 8 bit you dumbo. Custom or not custom whatevs.
-You have 48 Hours to make the map, design, weapons, and all that jazz.
-Also put some 8 bit song on your map. No need for boss themes however.
-While maps probably won't be god tier quality because the limited time span, if you submit a box or some obvious piece of crap, get out of here, I'm not taking it.

At the end of the day, I'll shove all the maps in a pack and then people might have fun playing it, or they might not.

The mapping will start at 6:00 PM EST TONIGHT and end on Sunday at the same time! While I can't prevent you from starting early, I will slowly shake my head at you and make an annoying "tsk" sound if you do!

IN FACT WE'RE GOING SO FREAKING FAST THAT YOU DON'T EVEN NEED TO SIGN UP!
I mean I'd like it if you did, but it isn't mandatory.
WHAT IS MANDATORY IS THAT YOU SEND ME YOUR COMPLETED MAP BY SUNDAY AUGUST 31ST AT 6:00 EST
Though I'll probably give you like 10 minutes extra in case uploading sucks. BUT AFTER THAT AND YOU FELL OFF THE TRACK!

Hold on, though. If the deadline is on Sunday, then what's the speedrunning medal for? Doesn't it go to the first one that submits a map?

How many speedrunning competitions have existed?
The way I see it there's barely any use for that medal; you don't want those medals collecting dust.
You wear them proud and brag to your friends.
The spontaneous and quick nature (including the restriction) of this event fit the medal quite well, don't you think?
It could just apply to any event thats done in a relatively quick fashion, say, this one.
Bring out that Quickman Medal.

Question...will all of these be compiled into a pack of its own or am I free to shove a map I make for this in my own pack?

Either way I'm signing up for this because hype.
