Welcome to BiscuitSlash Secret Shed. Despite it being somewhat hidden, you've found it. I decided to abandon the secret bunker I was using as it had much dust piled over it. I hate dust.

BiscuitSlash Weapons Pack V2

A collection of custom special weapon's I've made for Megaman 8-bit Deathmatch. As of V2, there are 25 new weapons to play with! Most of these are taken from Megaman ROM hacks, or are original ideas I thought up at some point.

Rockman No Constancy's Hard Mode - V6a update

Help & Editing / New custom weapon is being a V1A Plant Barrier.

I'm making a new weapon as part of V2 of my weapon pack, however, one of these new weapons is acting odd and I have no idea why.

I can summon the weapon through the console, but cannot collect it. Getting it through "give (weaponname)" and "give all" will not make the weapon usable, neither will typing in "use (weaponname) afterwards. The first bunch of coding is no different from my other custom weapons aside from name changing, and all those other weapons work fine.

The only time I've remembered this happening is during V1A with Plant Barrier, hence the thread title. Thing is, I have no knowledge of how that incident happened, so I'm completely stuck here.

Need a little help with 8BDM coding here.

I'm making a small mod that adds an extra class to be used alongside the Megaman class that is still there.

However, two problems:

-Whenever someone respawns, the top-left of the screen says "P_StartScript: Unknown Script 252", or something along those lines. I really don't know what this is referring to.
-The new class only allows the base skin to be used. What decides whether or not a class can use every skin available?

Any help would be appreciated.

Rejected / [Suggestion] Merge official game mode mods into core game.

There are certain mods that add new game mode to the game. However, certain mods are needlessly mods as opposed to being in the core game.

Mods that I am referring to:
-Roboenza
-Screw Scramble
-March of the Metools

These are mods that CutmanMike himself created and they are all good enough to be included into the main game without the servers and players have to add an expansion to get them to work. They could be activated through the server enabling a certain command while on the correct gameplay mode (LMS, CTF etc.).

Mods that I am not referring to:
-Class mods (YD, Justified, Unholy etc.)
-Map packs
-Expansion packs (RNC for example)

These sorts of mods shouldn't be in the main game and the reasons go without saying.


Adding those officially created mods into the core game would give them extra attention again and would prevent the need to frequently update them for each core game update to suit things such as palette changes and ammo bars and whatnot.

Closed / [Suggestion] Treble Sentry variant for team modes.

So when recently going back to play Mega Water S.'s stage on campaign mode, I noticed something about Treble Sentry. Even now that we're at v4, he still doesn't target enemies on team modes. Now I understand that this is some sort of engine issue in which all homing or enemy targeting fails to work properly on team games, however I can't help but remember something in particular from awhile back.

See, in a custom CTF map pack, I specifically remember Treble Sentry being different. When collecting the item to summon Treble, the pickup icon would say "Treble Strike" as opposed to "Treble Sentry". On these maps, Treble would behave differently in that instead of targeting opponents, he would either fire rapid spreadshots forward, or circle around constantly firing bullets. This was a great workaround for the inability for Treble to target opponents in team games.

So my question is, why the heck has this not been included into the main game? This seriously seems like a no brainer and would be very easy to implement. Simply change the coding of the pickup item to check the gamemode being played, and if it's a team game, give the player Treble Strike instead of Treble Sentry. Easy change that would make Treble not seem like a doofus in team modes.

Mafia X2

It's time for another Cutstuff Mafia game! This time it is the sequel to that previous one someone made called Mafia X.

What's this Mafia based on?
No, it's not Megaman X. This is a clashup of many things, similar to Sora's mash up mafia but with a bit less sanity. You may or may not see why. The X was added in simply to make it sound better. It is also a sequel which is why there is a 2 in the name.

How do I play?
If you're asking this question I assume your new. Basically, there's a bunch of players, most of them are good people while some of them are a group of bad guys that want to eliminate everyone else. During the day phase, everyone has to vote who they think should be lynched. The aim here is to get rid of the mafia by working as a team and not killing friendly people. During the night phase however, the mafia will kill someone, as their aim is to get rid of all the good people. Each player is randomly given a character, role, and some abilities. Everyone has to use their abilities correctly to survive and help their team win. Hopefully these instructions are clear, most of you wont need them anyway.

Can I play?
As long as you aren't late in signing up, then yes. Just make a post saying something that clearly means you are trying to sign up and want to take part.

Does this Mafia have a gimmick of some sort?
Not really. This is a classic mafia.

Rules:
-Votes will be done through EK's posting system, unless enough people rage and say that they want Korby's PM voting system. Make a post saying who you want to vote for.
-However, NO BANDWAGONING. Remember that mindlessly voting for someone that someone else voted for can be a terribad thing to do. Use strategy as much as possible, as that's the key to winning.
-KEEP IT FRIENDLY. By this I mean no voting for or killing someone for who they are. Just because you are killing people doesn't mean this isn't a friendly game. No hating on each other here. I'm serious about this rule.
-Day phases and night phases last 24 hours each. At about 5-6pm GMT time, I will sort out who died and stuff and move the time forward. (If this is a bad time then say. GMT timing makes this complicated)
-No trying to ruin the game
-Active abilities must be activated by PMing me when and how you want to use them. Passive abilities do not need this, as they are always activated.
-(There should be an extra rule here but I've forgotten what it was)

Help & Editing / My Doom Builder 2 is broken.

For a few months (can't remember how many), Doom Builder has stopped loading the 8BDM.pk3 file. As far as I know it suddenly started to no longer load it and it has never loaded since. Although I can use custom textures, I can't use any core textures, neither can I use core weapons or decorate stuff. I don't know how to fix this.

It's really annoying because I can't map without DB2 working properly and there are some maps that I want to make.

Things that I've tried:
-Reinstalling Doom Builder 2.
-Removing the megagame.wad file and mm8bdmv2c.pk3 and adding them back again.
-Checked the directories, not that they ever changed.
-Trying to add the two 8BDM files afterwards.
-Checked disk space. I seem to have enough.

None of the above worked. What else can I do?

Maps / Rom Hack Map Pack

--The ROM Hack Map Pack--

What is this?
This is a map pack that me and Blaze thought of. Us and a few others have been working on in the background. It is based on various Megaman ROM hacks that don't have their own expansions and don't have various maps of their own somewhere.

Each ROM hack that is included gets 4 maps. 3 of these are the robot master stages and 1 of them is a fortress stage. Some particular ROM hacks are exceptions to this, but most go by it. The plan is to have around 2 or 3 hacks per release. Later releases may also have some extra surprises! All the maps are quality controlled and made by the team.

So....we haven't had one of these Mafia games for awhile on Cutstuff have we? I figured that people got bored of Mafia, yet since we've had a break from it we'd probably be okay with starting another one.

I am aware that we have a queue for who hosts Mafia in what order, but that's not progressing right now and someone needs to step and and start another.

Help & Editing / [SOLVED] Strange weapon crashing issue

Ohai, me again.

I've got a little problem with a class weapon that I'm making. The main fire for my weapon is shooting a basic simple bullet, but for some weird reason the game tends to crash when the bullets collides with a wall or it stops existing. It always tends to happen to a bullet that is fired after the respawn protection.

It crashes in a way that the whole game fully stops without leaving me a skulltag error report and  sometimes I am left still in the game being frozen for a long time.

I've looked at other weapons but I've had no luck. I've tried changing minor things in their but the game still crashes. I've never had anything like this happen to me before so I need help here.

Help & Editing / Need a little help with some game mode coding

I'm trying to make a special game mode where everyone uses exactly the same weapon. To start, I want to actually get that weapon thing functional, BUT, I'm having problems in doing that.

I'm trying to use the Chaos Generaters's New Base Weapon effect to get this working,

Here's the closest I've got. I've tried to play around with this a bit to find the problem but I can't get further than everyone have no weapons at all and the text saying "ACS: I don't know what  is.".

Help & Editing / Skybox is being a jerk

Okay, I know how to make skyboxes as I've done it before a few times and I've seen TerrorSphere's tutorial. But in one of my maps I can't get it to work properly, ever after trying many different things out. I want it to be a map that has what looks like never ending sand as in MM2DW1, yet after many different attempts it always used to sort of work (no endless sand effect and slightly glitchy sky) but now it doesn't work at all (just glitchy mess, all of it). Here are pictures of it:

The skybox looks like an octagon with sand floor with windman clouds and sky.

I've tried many things, but is there something I'm missing?
