I'm in the process of moving everything to imgur right now....
currently got all my art and all my avatars re-uploaded, next are my game screenshots

luckily there is a "view your own posts" feature here, so finding all my posts and fixing all image links shouldn't be THAT difficult. Just time consuming

And I'm also glad all my forum activity is (was?) specifically at two different places, so it's not like I have to go through a TON of websites or something

I use some pomf clone for avatar stuff. Works alright so far.

Small warning about using imgur for avatar purposes: They tell you not to do that in their terms and conditions.

Anyway, it seems Google Drive is a MUCH better way for backing up all those images of mine, heh. Though I think I'll keep the ones that I had already uploaded to imgur on imgur.... at least until I'm about to edit all my posts

EDIT: Wow, actually, Google Drive was much easier and much more convenient to use. It'll definitely shorten how long it'll take me to fix everything up, hehe

EDIT3: it appears that google drive image links are frikken long. and direct image links don't work with google's url shortener, so my art and 8bdm skins topics will be a bit awkward
gotta find a solution to that i suppose

EDIT4: well, it appears that direct image links don't quite work for google drive
after a while, they'll stop working, and i'd have to change the link again

anybody got any alternatives? I'd like something that is like google drive, but where direct file links stay permanent

That's ludicrous, most people use imgur for their avatars because Photobucket turned into a steaming pile of shit and sometimes people don't want to direct-link images they find off Google because of the size-limit.

Welp, I sorted it out
all my links on all my posts are now replaced so they won't die when dropbox ends the public folder 3 days from now

no thanks to dropbox, making me spend 9 hours digging through posts to fix things before they break

Google Drive had links that expire, and OneDrive links only worked if the person trying to view them was logged into my account
CutmanMike ended up letting me use a filehosting site he had put together for my old files

gee, this dropbox issue almost made me forget that i'm having gbatemp problems too
