Pokemon Showdown Tournament
« on: November 23, 2013, 05:50:48 AM »
The tournament is ready to begin!
Click here to view the bracket.
The format for the tournament will be Pokebank OU.
Post results here and, if possible, replay links. I realize that Showdown's replay service is rather shifty at the moment.

Remember that this is Double Elimination- you can lose once and keep going, but two losses and it's over!

---------------
With the recent hype of Pokemon X and Y starting to slow down, now seems like a good time as ever to bring back the Cutstuff Pokemon Tournaments. There's four major tiers for now (because there's no UU/RU/etc for Gen 6 yet), but if you have another favorite, feel free to post it. The tournament will be held in the tier that wins the poll, which closes in 10 days (or earlier if we start the tournament).

Only major rule is that your team may not change any species- moves, EVs, formes, items, etc are all fair game.
Additionally, please click "save replay" and save the link once you finish a match. It'll serve as proof in case there's ever a conflict.

The tournament will be held on Pokemon Showdown (Direct link to the client). To sign up, just post your PS! name and your times available. If we can get an even 8 players, we'll do a Double Elimination Bracket (through Challonge if possible).

As it stands, my favorite format of the ones listed is VGC; call me a heretic, but I like the semi-purity the rule of "Kalos 'dex only" offers to the game. There are no crazy events or past Move Tutors or anything to worry about, and it still allows room for Hidden Abilities and the new mechanics (move buffs, Fairy type, Mega Evolution) that Gen 6 has to offer. Also I'm a sucker for alternative battle styles; if there were a Rotation Battle set-up I'd be going nuts over it, but I doubt such a thing exists for "competitive" play.

My monotype team will wreck you all if Monotype is chosen.
If OU is chosen, my monotype team will still wreck you all.

PS! Name: Manibogi
Times: I'm about to finish school, so I'll be free after the next weekend, otherwise the same as Smash, HD and Chuggaa.

Played Mabinogi; 4-0 my favor.

Very well played bruv

Replays aren't available because of a server move though so that's unfortunate

Close battle with Gummywormz, but I lost.

Was quite fun, though. I still need to learn the new Pokemon (and type chart) better.

I won 1-0 vs HD. I have logs and a video but no replay.
