I've just noticed that this is still a ghoul forest kind of theme. Maybe you could keep the current one as an alternative one and maybe find/make a MM8BDM style theme.



Ok, I'm working on graphics for the new theme. I hope that Cutman can implent these:

Maps / FANMAP01

I've made a shuddy map. I didn't aim it at detail at all, to expect it to look like arse-hair.
I aimed it at gameplay. Hopefully this may help people to make a nice creative layout rather than sticking to symmetrical boring layouts I'm seeing.

This is not me showing people what maps must look like. This is just an example of how having an unsymmetrical map makes such a better layout.

This is the first time I've used something like this before.

General Gaming Discussion / What's your favourite Capcom game?

Mine has to be either Resident Evil 2 or Resident Evil 3 on the Sony Playstation.

Both games defined my past. I loved the voices in video games. The way Resident Evil is (or was). I found it awesome. The satisfaction of finding new weapons, then finding upgrades for the weapons. *Gets shotgun, gets shotgun parts, Finds zombie... "BOOM"!!!!*
Resident Evil 3's non linear paths means I played the game again and again without getting bored.

These two songs... are just amazing, shame everyone else in my area listens to only Rap, Dance and Pop. I listen to everything but Rap, Dance and Pop

MM8BDM Discussion / Mapping stream (Blackman) OVER

This stream will be around 7:10PM GMT (2:10PM Central), just keep an eye on this topic.

I'll be using UStream, I have a mic and uhh... ask away about tips on how to make maps for MM8BDM.

If I don't reach 5 views by the 1st hour I'll shut it off.

If you have any problems with the time, then reply, I might change it to suit everyone more.

My mappers block!!! OMG IT'S GONE!! Ideas for the map have somehow returned.






Ok, Next stream, Sunday this week. The map will be near finished by them hopefully.

06:00PM - pissing around with textures, decorate and sprites,
07:10PM - Making the map
08:45PM - Stream ends... unless number of views somehow keep their interest.

This is over. The next update will be the map.

Skins & Bots etc / Removes Blood on walls.

I've made a simple patch that you can all add to your skins folder. It simply replaces the blood splatter graphics with nothing. Result? No blood splatters on walls!

People say "DON'T EDIT YOUR MM8BDM PK3!!!" with good reason. But this, you're allowed rename the MM8BDM pk3 and my patch pk3 to zip's.
Take the sprites from my patch and stick them into your MM8BDM pk3. This will enable you to play online just as before, only without the blood.

Don't edit your MM8BDM pk3 for anything else though. Stick to your skins folder but this. I don't want to remove blood for when I play Doom. So I edited my MM8BDM pk3

Rather than getting buried in the screenshots topic. I decided to post about it here.

I think there should be a DoomThroughDoom map. His avatar sort of looks like a map layout anyway, just imagine how epic a map shaped like that would be!

That would certainly be interesting.

Teehee. I had to try it. Even though I have mappers block. I just stole the theme from Flameman's map (Which I made).
