After a certain point in time, Youtube just...went down the tubes, for lack of a better term.
I like Markipliers videos, to give him some attention. He's funny without going overboard, he reacts to things really well and enjoyable-like, and he does things for fun, not for attention. The way I see it, most youtubers nowadays don't do it for the people anymore, they do it to be stupid and get views. It saddens me.

THAT IS NOT TO SAY ALL OF THEM DO IT.

There are a few youtube people/groups out there that do in fact do it for the people, and they don't cater to the stupidities of little children who want to see another 360 noscope. Brainscratch comes to mind. They play old-style games while giving their two cents on it, and they don't put up with any bullshit [unless they're playing said bullshit (sonic 06)]. They're smart(?), funny, and they know what they're doing and why they're doing it. They don't pump out videos to get more views, they pump out videos because lots of people like listening to their commentary.

Why the hell did this show up when I was trying to change my location. It wasn't that long. ;~;

I agree.

This could also be an accurate representation, except for all the haters out there for the big names.
(The YouTuber is the song, and the haters are Mordecai and Rigby.)

Another guy that's good about actually making videos for the people is Jerma985. He simply plays the game, does his own little voice acting [which is hilarious to listen to], and he finds a way to make it enjoyable without catering to the brainless guys who want COD videos.

I'm quite fond of Brainscratchcomms. They're a bunch of friends doing commentary on video games, and it's fun.

Also, ClementJ642. That guy is quite informative.

Since I accidentally eradicated my 101% save file on Donkey Kong Country by using Game Genie codes meant for v1.0 when I have v1.2, I had to beat it all over again.

So I decided to try and see how far I could get before I needed to look up the location of a bonus room.

So far, I'm up to Gorilla Glacier (World 4), and I have memorized every bonus area location thus far.
(And I definitely remember a ton of the later ones, so I think I may have memorized the entirety of Donkey Kong Country!)
Yes, I even remembered where all 5(!) of Orang-utan Gang's bonus stages were!

I also accidentally erased my DKC2 file, which I was in the process of completing 102%, by crashing the game accidentally with Game Genie. At the time, I had memorized everything up to K. Rool's Keep, the second last world (not counting The Lost World), AND I am additionally in the process of 105%ing DKC3, which I did NOT accidentally erase, and I can say that I've gotten everything up to the point that I am at. So I guess I have effecively memorized everything about all the Donkey Kong Country games.
What are you talking about? I forgot two games? No, Returns and Tropical Freeze don't count.

Well, he's done the entire Sonic series up to Unleashed (with a 3 hour or so review/bash-fest of Sonic 06).

Along with a 10 parts so far playthrough of ZX.

Also, Geno, that sucks. But to further make you happytimes, think of it like this; you get to feel the rush of completing a great game all over again.

Just be glad that it's not the kind of replay-the-game-all-over-again-to-see-the-ending kind of scenario that they throw at you in the Ghosts n' Goblin games.

Well, the GBA version of DKC (which I do not have yet, it's the hole in my DK Collection) does that, sort of.

In that, you can't get 101% until you beat the game 100%, then do it again, except with only yellow Diddy Kong.

In the GBC version of DKC, you have to do that TWICE to get 101%(maybe it's just 100% in this version?)

Once normally, once without DK Barrels, and once without Star Barrels.
And beating the levels the other two times through actually doesn't count! The only reason why those two run-thoughs are required is that certain scrapbook images only appear on different playthroughs.

So, yes, while SNES DKC, and all versions of DKC2 and DKC3 do not do that, the ports of the first DKC do that, ESPECIALLY the GBC ones.

One of my friends bought me Shovel Knight and holy crap the boss fights are so freaking fun in that game. It's those fights where the bosses have a clear moveset, but there's no pattern to it so you have to keep on your toes. It's not unfair, but it's thrilling in a way.

Also the soundtrack is great.
