Actually, if anyone wants to do that, please do. Even if it's just the essential stuff, it's still good.

You mean something like this?

(click to show/hide)

I don't think it can be possible, as far I know you can't change the "you fragged" part, I managed to change the messages of the weapons, and some others parts, Zandronum lacks of latin accents, like "á" and the "ñ" letter. If is it possible, I would love to help.

I made a doom mod once (<shameless advertising here>) and I included the 'ñ' letter. It uses the 209 and 241 slots. I suppose any character in this table may be included.

I would help more, if I had time. :/

Uh...huh...

Funny thing about this.
MM8BDM v4 unintentionally included the ability to create localization mods. The only problem is, this can only be applied to obituaries. From minor experimentation, I have found that it is likely not possible to make the campaign strings so that they can be localized.

To localize the obituaries, though you would simply need to copy the string definition from the language lump in MM8BDM-v4a.pk3 and change its string. For instance,
Code: [Select]
OB_MEGABUSTER = "%o was bombed by %k's Mega Buster.";Could be changed to
Code: [Select]
OB_MEGABUSTER = "%o fue bombardeado por el Mega Buster de %k.";for spanish [under esn, esm, or esp default]
[I used metalmanu's example...my spanish is wonky at best.]

In short, it is possible to localize certain aspects, such as obituaries, but not campaign elements or pickup messages...though Pickup messages are possible since they use the same string system as obituaries, modding them just isn't supported by v4.
