Sequels that have less features than the game before it.

Games that feature collecting but have the dreaded "point of no return" that screws you over.

Be sure to try out different weapons in the mirror. If your colors don't change when cycling through weapons, it means the palette is wrong. DOH! Unfortunately this means you have to fix it and extract the sprites from the sheet again, which is a pain! (trust me, I've done it a few times)

Metal Blade owns almost half the bosses if you include the Wily ones.  

I think I was partial to MM2 because we had it my grandma's house and could play it more regularly, wherearea's all the others I had to rent. Don't ask me why we hardly ever bought games back in the NES days.
