I think those are placeholders Zandronum puts when the map tries to spawn a non-existent actor.

I got the same results; still lags a little (prolly due to my craptop) but it's a big improvement compared to before.

Ohh this seems interesting.

Few questions though: Is there anything we will need other than the devkit? (since you mention Game Maker and the Mega Engine), will we be able to have our own enemies and bosses or will be restricted to ones shipped with the kit? And since this is a contest, are there any specific judging parameters or is it just a case of "the level people liked most wins"?

Do you know it's possible to get telefragged in Wave Man's map? By being on the "end" of the tubes that you enter to gain the wave bikes as some enters it, you will be fragged by the player comming out with their wave bike.

not that anyone plays MM5WAV

Preferred Custom Skin(s): I don't even have any custom skins downloaded  :roll:
Favorite Game Mode(s): Vanilla DM?!?!
Least Favorite Game Mode: Any form of hotel, I don't find duel fun and I'd like to say unholy even though I've never played it.

Favorite Weapon(s): Anything overly powerful really, and I don't think skull shield counts somehow.
Least Favorite Weapon: Laser Trident, Gyro Attack is a close second.

Favorite Stock Map(s): MM4DC1 (There are probably others but this mod has around100 maps so it's hard to pick)
Least Favorite Stock Map(s): MM7DW2

Favorite Class: Rockman, although I remember JC Burstman being fun to play
Least Favorite Class: Any JC copyweap class, CBM Tenguman, JC Clownman
Favorite Campaign Boss: Fake Chase, and since everyone has said it Evil Robot as well.
Least Favorite Campaign Boss: Pretty much any of the V5 bosses.

Greatest Rival(s): Vik is the only person I could really count as a rival
Play Time: Don't really have much of a schedule due to my inconsistent college timetable, being in the GMT timezone also doesn't help.

Hi, I'm new here and I have a question. For your Rush Pro Skating pictures, is that a texture pack you are using. I really want to download it but I don't know what it is called. Thank you.

He's not using a texture pack; if you go into zandronum's options, then enter "display options" and then enter "OpenGL options" and then enter  "texture options" you can change "high quality resize mode" to any of the hqx options to get the effect. (whew!)

I plagued one match with Icy Terrain + Thin Air + Low Gravity.

Half the problem was that everyone was spamming dive missile.  :roll:

I see You're working on adding a new features, although there are few bugs I'd like to see fixed:

- Eddie storm (as well as Kygwon storm and Zombies) is half broken; most eddies seem to glitch through the teleport animation and not finish spawning.

-Roll's dialogue doesn't seem to show up on the server I hosted, although it still plays the chat sound effect.

-Black Hole Bomb isn't effected by spread fire, very disappointing.  :(  (Thunder Beam also seems to not be affected)

-The Master choosing also seems to be broken; it seems to stick to client 0 all the time. (perhaps it should choose the winner of the last match?)

-What's with the "mugshot" of MM2DW3? I'd use CBM's alien mugshot if they didn't mind you borrowing it.

-The random ? mugshot has blue pixels around. Super nitpicky I know...

My best guess is that the Simple Machines Forum software has guest posting enabled by default (did the old board even have guest posting?).

I can't stand Blender IMO (worst UI ever), but I managed to find Misfit Model 3D, which can convert OBJ's to MD2. Took long enough...

Also, I made a model for the crypt cloak cubes with my limited modelling knowledge. It took me at least 2 hours to find something that exports .md2 files so this had better be worth it...

(Although I'd go for voxels once Zandronum supports them)

how any people use models in MM8BDM modding anyways

I've been trying to find a to convert a model I have into one that's usable by Zandronum, but I can't find one for the life of me. Is there a program that can do the conversions I want?

(My model was made with wings 3d so I should be able to export it to different formats if necessary.)

DoomEdNum must be in the range [-1,32767]
The DoomEdNum of your actor is going over the maximum allowed by Zandronum. Just set it to something that doesn't conflict with the standard editor numbers or MM8BDM's actors and it should be fine.
