A quick update as to how the schedule is coming along:

[6:00:10 PM] Communist Mage: When I made the last update post, about a week ago, Musashi said in a server v8b would be "today" (eg last week)
[6:00:27 PM] Communist Mage: For that reason I wanted to wait, but a few days after I realized it wasn't gonna be reliable
[6:00:35 PM] Communist Mage: But I also saw there were very few teams
[6:01:03 PM] Communist Mage: Now that we have a lot more, I'm going to be putting up a real deadline, probably 3-4 days: However, if v8b hits before then, I'll be extending it for repolls and we'll be using v8b for the tourney

The tournament will tentatively begin on Monday, July 27 at 8:00 EST using V8A. However, if V8B is released before that date, the deadline will be 4 days after release for suspect repolling and the updated version will be used.

I don't really understand Gemini Man's inclusion on this list of classes up for banning. More to the point, I can't see any reasoning that could support his banning that doesn't support the banning of Skull Man.

Other words that have been used are "antifun" and "overcentralizing". I wager that Skull Man is more "antifun" (railgun, following similar lines as Gemini [Gemini turret bullet speed is less than half the speed of Skull shots]), "overcentralizing", has more of "an edge in tlms", and by far is more likely "to almost always be banned/played to not handicap teams using any other strategies" (see: every other classes tournament) than many of the classes currently on the strawpoll (those being Gemini, Search, Dynamo, Rockman, Gyro, Crystal and probs even Woodman imo).

Just my two cents, otherwise I think this list is mostly good.

I'm with KD, Skull Man basically has Gemini's features of railgun shots and "free damage" with an added rage mechanic. His "free damage" (shield versus the clone) also recharges much faster than Gemini's, and gives Skull Man flat-out invulnerability (which is useful for offensive and defensive situations, versus Gemini's usual clone-and-run mentality).

+1 for Skull Man on suspect.

Additionally, the maps MM7CLO and MM8CLO are hardbanned. The former has significant lag issues while the second has healing built into the map.
