Star Wars Battlefront is a series class-based shooters that lets you play through some of the famous battles of the Star Wars movies and is a very enjoyable game. Battlefront 2 only ten bucks on Steam.
Discuss the game here.
(Also, should I host a server for Battlefront 2 (PC)?)

I remember when I bought 2 on the PS2 a long time ago, and I enjoyed it so much on online play that I also tried the first one and enjoyed that one too. Then years down the road one of my friends *who has now moved away. :(* gave me his copy of Battlefront 1 on the PC, and then I was gifted 2 on the PC on steam.

Both are amazing shooters, without a doubt.

Oh man, I remember the hundreds of hours that I've spent on 2, it's easily a childhood passion of mine! If you ever got enough people together I think it'd be worth it, for nostalgia if anything!

But yeah, SWBFII was my childhood godsend. Being the gigantic Star Wars aficionado that I am (and I just love being the soldier on the field out there), I just had to pick this up to be a Storm/Clone Trooper. I even taught my self nifty tricks like no-scope rifle fire for easy kills, though you'll find me almost always just being the default soldier class.

I own it on Steam once Windows 7 decided having the CD Rom copy of the game wasn't good enough for it, I just can't let it go!

In case I do this, what maps (vanilla maps, no mods) should I NOT include.

I don't want (insert game mode here) (insert map name here) because (insert reason here).

Hero mode on Tatooine.

It's what killed Xbox Live support for this game.

Also, I've only played 2, but it's a blast. If only I could get Rhen Var, though... Playing as the Snowtroopers and the Rebel Hoth dudes is so much fun.

Oh hey, sounds like what map/mode damn near everybody played on the ps2 version too! Including server mods that lock out shooting based characters like Han or Bobba Fett. How that map never got old to people is beyond me.

TECHNIALLY (from the wiki and my sources), The new Battlefront game is actually going to be a remake/reboot of the first. I hope they keep the medal system from BF2.

And from another note, BF2 is my absolute favorite for the Battlefront series. and I didnt really care for Hero mode either >.>

Ahh Battlefront. I remember in the first one for the PS2, I would stand on top of the ships and at-ats and just ride them out. Then in 2, I would always attempt to do the space glitch to get outside and walk alongside the battleship.

Ah, Battlefront. I have both 1 and 2 for Xbox, and I am quite fond of it. I like to pretend I'm an actual soldier, so that meant picking the average class, and not dying once.

I never had the luxury of having XBOX live when I had this for the XBOX, so yeah I might be willing to play if you set up a server for Battlefront 2.

Edit: Oh wait the poll ended Almost THREE years ago. Guess that's what I get for being nearly blind. But yeah, New battlefront game is being made by Dice so expect Big time vehicle play and an absolute fuckton of weapons to choose from.

This.
I've tried that.
Actually, I was more successful in 2 due to me being a boss and putting in over 200+ hours into the game and having almost all of the medals. I think the difficulty from the first was dropped down a lot in the second game. Jeez, man. Also, wasn't 1 like horribly unbalanced? It felt like that for me. :I
