MM8BDM Discussion / Re: Busting all Yashichi in MM8BDM (V6A)

Relevant side note, I heard the complaints about MM9TOR's yashichi and made it a little easier to spot if you know where to look for it. If you don't, good luck haha but if you do, it shouldn't be so difficult to see anymore (especially in software renderer).

Good luck finding Commando's! That's a lot of map to comb through but it's definitely still there.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: MM8BDM V6 - Released!
« on: October 24, 2020, 05:31:36 PM »
All of the hype and excitement yesterday made for one of the best days of my life. Thank you all so much for your patience and I'm really glad to be able to share all of this with you at long last.

I made a lot for V6, which surprised me a lot considering I started this expansion with not all that much on this plate. MM10COM and MM10DW3 are my two biggest contributions, but some of you may have noticed my name in some of the more spoiler-y singleplayer map stuff too. It was a lot of fun making stuff like that, and I hope you'll remember those setpieces!

Happy 10 years to MM8BDM, and I hope to be here with it for many many more!

Tutorial Collection / Re: [RESOURCE] Skin Generator for MM8BDM

Fascinating! This was my least favorite part about skinning by far to the point where it outweighed any fun of actually spriting. I'll look into it next time I can.

Thank you Mendez for hosting this competition, and thanks to all of my competitors for contributing! I think there's an absurd amount of potential in both these maps and these mappers for more, and I'm very excited to get to see where you all go from here!

I feel obligated as the first place winner to do a writeup, hopefully detailing how this map came to be and giving some introspection as to how this map as developed to serve as a base for new mappers going forward. This is something I plan on doing for my V6 maps as well, so stay tuned for those. If you've got the time, please take a look!

Yeah, I'm down. Deadline's a little tight on my end, but I'll see if I can throw something together before then.

I'm glad to have an avenue to contribute to this mod now. Looking forward to making something in the near future!

Help & Editing / Re: MM8BDM ON ANDROID!!! *works*
« on: June 06, 2020, 05:17:04 PM »
I think it's pretty fascinating. Do any noticable hiccups or bugs happen on mobile?

I've expressed this elsewhere, but I think this mod's incredible. It's an undertaking to make GvH work in a MM8BDM environment, but I think this is the most natural it's ever felt. The spirit of both games feel well and alive here, and the new features, classes, additions feel right at home.

Keep up the good work, very much looking forward to playing as Hunter again.

Projects & Creative / Re: MEGA MAN ROCK FORCE IS RELEASED (V2)
« on: April 17, 2020, 05:56:12 AM »
I know there's one in development, but the MMRF forums seemingly haven't had a new post in over five months. Has Goldwater been more active on other media (Discord, Twitter, etc.)?

I wouldn't mind at all helping out with updating the pack when it comes out, but I don't know when that will be.

Maps / Re: Any classic-like MegaMan maps?
« on: February 29, 2020, 07:35:55 PM »
There's the Mission Mode, which is a set of four levels made by CMM back during v3. You can find it here: http://cutstuff.net/forum/index.php?topic=11020.0
It got two unofficial expansions in Strength in Numbers (http://cutstuff.net/forum/index.php?topic=5642.0) and Mega Man X Single Player (http://cutstuff.net/forum/index.php?topic=5658.0), the former of which adds four extra characters and the latter of which replaces the cast with MMX characters and adds three levels.

You'll probably need to hunt down compatibility patches for the three above ones if you want to run them in v5d.

Mega Man 4 Single Player: Cossack Crusaders (http://cutstuff.net/forum/index.php?topic=11335.0) is in development at the moment.

I might be forgetting other things, but hopefully there's a place to start!

Good to know - I have a fair bit on my plate atm but hopefully by next update I should be ready to help contribute if the project's in a good position.

Good to know! I'll start doing a bit of research, look into which ones would make for good ones, then hopefully have at least one to show relatively soon.
