I just noticed something in the newer mario games. Yoshi's arms and legs keep getting longer, he's getting thinner, and he now stands perfectly upright in the new SSB... OH GOD He's evolving!

Yeah, if you noticed, basically every new Nintendo console brings with it a slightly newer Yoshi design.

Although GCN onwards don't seem to change, like you said, Yoshi's limbs/posture are changing.

and the titles in [] are just where that particular art is from, NOT when that design was first used.


seriously, there is no artwork for GCN Yoshi standing upright

Not to mention the particular shade of green he is is also getting lighter.

Don't ever let your perception of your abilities stop you from that! I don't think I'm that great of an artist, but I still draw for my friends when I can. You put some of your own thoughts and ideas into the creative stuff you make like that, and I think people will be able to tell. It's the thought that counts, as they say, and if your thoughts are honest and generous, I think your gifts will end up treasured by the receivers no matter the "quality".

Green Yoshi in Yoshi's story was actually a baby Yoshi if I understand my canon correctly.

However, Mario64's Yoshi on the roof is just ugly.

And finite, you should really play Yoshi's Story. That game will make you love him.
