I would recommend reverting the BRG changes entirely. Buffing his altfire and making it even harder to play against while his mainfire remains useless (especially in tandem with clones) is not the way to change him. Also, it would help if you were a bit more clear about "set explosion sizes" and what it means in the context of the game itself. Does it make it more consistent? Does it buff damage in specific scenarios? Does it reduce damage in specific scenarios? What does it even mean?

Well, let's not forget that those walls of distrust exist partially due to some officers abusing their power, and taking things too far when a situation could've been resolved without killing someone. No party is to blame, but certain individuals from both parties have had a stake in putting up those walls and causing animosity between law enforcement and citizens. It's not a case about citizens disrespecting police or all cops being bad (neither of those are true), but rather a case of incidents not being handled how they should be handled.

Pmw2 on ps2 was my go-to game to play at friends' houses as a kid, I should really find a copy tbh

There was also that shitty gba port of pmw2 that I owned. I remember it being fun, but really difficult for someone being like 8 years old.

anyway good shit dude, good to have you here. check out some yd classes tlms and duel, it's basically all we play these days. the mod advanced a fuckton since you left so i'd consider giving it another go if you didn't like it before.

people still might refer to you as marionumbers, as pacmanfan doesnt quite roll off the tongue, so you might wanna consider requesting a namechange if korby/king dumb will allow it for the whole "change of identity" thing. either way i'm 100% sure nobody will treat you bad given your change of heart, but expect a lot of mr driller memes to be thrown around tbh

tbh magnetman is not a problem in terms of homing classes. His magnets are easily jukable, and his close-range capabilities are much worse than other homing classes' capabilities.

Dive, Hornet, and Search should concern you more. Dive's extreme area denial and near-impossible missiles to dodge pose a big problem in all maps, Search's unavoidable lock-ons and lack of ammo straight up make him broken, and Hornet's hella flight + homing 2.0 turn him into a nightmare for anyone not blessed with jesus tier leading and juking skills.

Also now is a very good time to pitch my idea to rename the current Hornet to Honey and implement a new, more aggressive Hornetman class :v)

lack of maps isn't a problem. 20 is more than enough to have a good time (see overwatch)

what oj mentioned is exactly what is wrong: running away is too strong in this game. players move fast enough to avoid all damage in the many hallways of ctf maps, and there is more than enough health to go around.

the fact of the matter is that the former problem is unfixable unless you want this game to become very "un-megaman". increasing speeds of all projectiles would be crazy, and you'd be better off just making a mod that has ctf-friendly weapons made from scratch.

health pickup abuse is easily fixable: simply place a limit on the amount of health one can munch. sure, it's not canon, but who cares when the mode isn't fun?

So, I have a problem.

I have a few aliases for CBM. They're basic "make me use this class" aliases, and they look like so:

alias skull "playerclass skullman"They allow me to type in "skull" to the console and change my class rather than type out "playerclass skullman". It's a convenience thing. However, as of recently (probably the release of classes v8c/v8ch), these aliases no longer work. Type in "skull" in the console, nothing appears (as usual), but my class does not change. Despite this, if I redefine the alias by typing in the command I used to make it again, the alias will work once more. If I type "alias" in the console to bring up all of my available aliases, all of those aliases that do not work are displayed and should theoretically be in working order.

I ran a test where I took an alias that I knew didn't work (in this case tomahawk), and I manually typed the alias with proper syntax into my .ini. Popped open zdn and tried the command to find that it too did not work. I typed the command into zdn manually then tried it, and it worked just fine even after closing and reopening.

These are the only aliases that stopped working, I made them over a long stretch of time, and I deleted all extraneous aliases (I had a lot) to reduce clogging. So like WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?

Shit dude, that's extremely generous of you. I considered 8bdm players to also be very shitty and non-frugal community in terms of server usage, but I guess I was wrong. Thank you for your services thus far, and thank you for our final days/weeks/months to come. I've spent more hours on BE servers than anywhere else since its utilization in 8bdm, and I greatly appreciate your dedication to such a small community of people who you shouldn't necessarily care about. Finally, we invite you to stop by any popular servers when you're free, as I'm sure you'll be well-respected and enjoyed among the playerbase.
