I encourage it too. If I recall, you had to cross a "gravity change point" in MM5 to flip the gravity. Having this as a timed gimmick instead of sector(s) gimmick makes it prone to irritate people.

Wasn't there a Rockman no Constancy mod that had a map with inverted gravity or something? If it were possible to implement that, it would be great. Else, well... How about consider a larger fighting area for high gravity, with blocks and props for the player to hide behind'em and maybe one 3D Platform Elevator?

Basically a compression of all Sound, Music and Visual files from the Original La-Mulana, a Freeware released by NIGORO back when they were known as the "GR3 Project". What is GR3 Project itself? A Gradius clone that has a visual similar to that of MSX era. And of course, La-Mulana was influenced by it back in the days, and as such it got some quirks from the system, such as having tile-based background movement, some entities being treated as background elements (which explains the black bounding box) and the considerably more restrictive palette.

I claim no rights on this, if you seek to use them please consider giving credit to GR3 Project, NIGORO and Aeon Genesis Translations instead of giving me any merit.

Though this is a cute idea, at first blush the computational complexity needed to establish a true tracking would become problematic quickly for what is arguably a marginal benefit "feature" (easter egg?) especially in multiplayer game modes.

Exactly what Ice said. I think it was I who made that suggestion, but seems the files didn't work on everyone for some odd reason (Might be my luck because I was testing it in Software Mode?). I'll look up my threads and see if I can find it.

In case you wonder, the inspiration was an Instructable

Honestly, I did not know it has splash damage, and I'm not much sure how can this be handled other than having its animation loop once more in its "Death".

Bikdark told me, the "canadians" cheated, how can it be possible with MM8BDM ? Specially if the server use no autoaim (or not, autoaim is awful I think) or no_chasecam (it's a cheat I think).

I think I heard about aimbotting or wallhacking in Skulltag or Zandronum in the past.

One idea I proposed in another thread was to make it so the map is 50% possible to darken and 50% will stay bright. The bright area could be the inner or outer ring and would have less rewarding items (small capsules, weak weapons), however it would never darken at all. Meanwhile the are that could darken would contain better items but be harder to navigate, so the risk-reward relationship would be balanced.

Control Panel, go to Power Management. Tweak the settings so it never hibernates or powers down on its own.

The darkness gimmick COULD stay, as long as it takes no more than 50% or 60% of the PLAYABLE sectors, and the darkness sections could have more rewarding items than the permabright ones.

I brought that up again, yeah, but instead it needs a "no-blackout" half of it, where it is less rewarding to stay. Or perhaps the sections should alternate: When one is dark, the other is not, and vice-versa
