I'm kinda new at this, but I think I probably got the hang of making my own skin.  If I finish some more, I'll be sure to post them here.

There ARE some songs being made for the DOS stages.  I've heard Sonic Man's stage on YouTube before.  But I think we're going a little off topic. :lol:

I made this one for my girlfriend who's also into Megaman games.  After making Aircon Man, I decided to put in her character for her.

This one probably won't get a lot of use from other people since I just edited her sprites from Mega Man, but still.

Thanks.  It'll be a while before I finish my next skin, Compass Man.  But I'll give a little preview of what I have so far.

EDIT: Compass Man (http://dc219.4shared.com/download/5M1Tzmua/Compassman.pk3?tsid=20101023-001134-779381d6) has been completely finished and is now available for download!  This is one of the hardest skins I've done yet.  :D

Oh! That reminds me.
There are SEVERAL graphical "glitches" on Aircon Man. For instance, his fan doesn't move in more than half of his walking directions. There were more, but I forget them.

Anyway, Compass Man looks interesting.

Oops!  :shock:  I guess I forgot to check that.  His fan's supposed to be spinning as he walks.  I'll change that in due time.

Wow, these skins are pretty awesome, I would of never even thought of that annoying sliding "Octopus Battery" enemy in a game like this, but it seems like it's worth a try.
Absolutely loving the design on Compass Man, he almost looks official, if you ask me. Nice job, definitely giving it a go!

I thought I'd make something to rival TheBladeRoden's Mario skin.  I would have liked to incorporate features from SRB2 in this skin, but that would make him another class entirely, thus ruining the point of 8-Bit Deathmatch.  And YES, FANBOYS!  HE HAS GREEN EYES!  GET OVER IT!

That's one thing I've never figured out:  There are a Hell of a lot of things to complain about in the Sonic universe, and green eyes and long legs aren't on the list.  Horrible controls, terrible acting, and atrocious Hedgehog-Human relationships are.

sonic adventure 1 and 2 were both amazing games, sonic had green eyes in that and i think his design was overall better! people hate those games because they're not exactly like sonic 1.

also people who want the only characters to be sonic and robotnik, c'mon, tails and knuckles are classics!
and complaining about whether his name is eggman or robotnik is totally worthwhile (he was always called eggman in japan)
most of the people who complain are like 10 too, AKA they didn't even grow up in the genesis era

I enjoyed SA2 a lot until the later levels. The gamecube edition had a CRAZY annoying bug where you often fall through the floor, usually into deep space. Getting the medals for that game was FUCKING RIDICULOUS. All for a cameo of Green Hill Zone that lasts about 10 seconds  :evil:

Yo.  XD  It has to be the absolute most "not worth it" secret in the existence of video games.  If the emblems were a little easier to collect, or maybe even just more interesting than "go here really fast, get the rings, save the chao" over and over again, maybe...it would be worth it.  But no such luck.

Yeah, Green Hill Zone was so not worth even bothering. That's why I used an action replay hahahaha.

By the way, nowadays the only things appealing to me about that game are Chao Garden, Kart Race(Egg Roboooo!), and occasionally burninating my siblings in 2P battle.

Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 were great.  Sonic Heroes sucked.  Shadow sucked more.  Secret Rings sucked even more than the last two.  Sonic 06 was so bad it's hilarious.  Unleashed is surprising good.

i didn't mind sonic heroes but having to beat it 4 times with each team became really repetitive! i really wish it included something to make your own team or something, like picking a speed type from one team and a fly from another etc

When a Sonic game came out staring a Darker and Edgier Shadow as the protagonist, involved riding vehicles, shooting guns, fighting aliens and crap... seriously who the heck thought that was a good idea? It sounds like some bad fan fiction than an actual Sonic game.

I played some Sonic 4 this weekend.  It's mediocre.  It feels more like a hack than a real new game.  Plus, it throws lives at you left and right.  By the end of the 2nd zone (of 4.  Yeah, it's short) I had 20 lives.  Sonic Colors should be great, it's the best part of Unleashed (the day stages) without the crappy parts (Werehog).

Also, apparently Yellow Devil didn't read the article from Sega saying how all of their Wii and DS Sonic games will be for kids and the rest will be for more serious gamers.

"What about Big?"
What about Big? Big is fine. We all need some comic relief, and besides, not everyone from Mobius is gonna be super cool or strong or smart or fast. We all have a Big the Cat in us, people.

"The 3D series is awful!"
No, just no. Play the Sonic Adventure games, they're good. I hate how so many fans complain and want the classics back. I'm fine with a few classic style games occasionally, but seriously, why hate 3D? First, the fact that everyone wants nothing but Sonic. Seriously, they're's no variety. Tell me your favorite Sonic character. Is it really Sonic? There are plenty of cool characters. Personally, the only thing I'd like to see is maybe a story of how the Mobians ended up on Earth? The classics were on Mobius, I'm pretty sure. Also, the Chao garden is awesome. The 3D games are fine, so quit whining.

And there's my rant.

EDIT: Star Light also makes a good point. People are ruining the series. And also, even the spin-offs have good new characters. If the Babylon rogues were in a real Sonic game, it would be awesome.

I will admit, I am annoyed with the fact that they got rid of a ton of their old characters. Fang/Nack the Sniper/Weasel anyone?

Still, its a good series. Lets not forget that it rivaled Mario for a while. That takes mad skillz.

Think about it this way.  If you're in Pharaoh Man's stage and suddenly, Mecha Dragon is there, you wouldn't even be able to see around him.  I would have to remove it and replace it every time I wanted to use it in a server with friends.

Actually, I've seen someone use it in an actual match, and it seems to work just fine.  Of course, he does tend to go through the ceiling, but the point of this skin is to see your opponent from a mile away making him an easy kill.

According to Brotoad, Giegue himself is a mistranslation of the name Giygas.  He says that after Giygas escaped in his space ship in Mother 1, he became so powerful that he ended up destroying his body which is why he's the way he is now.  Go ask Brotoad, because I don't know anything about Earthbound.

On the topic of your skins, you've done an amazing job with them! I have to download more then just Mecha Dragon (which is one of my favorites, btw)!

I feel unworthy to speak in your presence, considering my measly six skins, and only three robot master so far (all of which are severly flawred in walking and leaning.)

Well, aside from the eyes on the front pose being too close together and me not liking the side pose standing whatsoever, the skin looks nice, and I was surprised you had the sounds but then I realized some of your other skins were very similar.
I do have ONE gripe with this skin which I will put in all caps and very large letters in this spoiler.

Aside from that, it seems like a nice skin and I don't regret getting it.
