I only got to play a demo of Sonic Riders back when it was new at Gamestop. I've always wanted to own the first one for myself, and maybe the second one after. Oh yeah and the avatar's nice too.

Being a complete fan for the original, Zero Gravity was a bit of a disappointment. The whole Gear Change gimmick's neat, but I felt like every other change ruined the Sonic Riders "formula". There's no more Air management, and every stage can still be completed without sufficient Gravity; it's mainly just for doing flashy stuff like riding on walls and what have you. This effectively makes performing higher-class tricks pretty darn useless, as just a basic B-Rank will still get you past the ramp in just as much time as your SS-Rank or X-Rank tricks. On the topic of tricks, those have been dumbed-down as well, with just a simple press of your jump button with correct timing. Heck, for some strange reason the developers thought it was a good idea to make walking a POWER UP. Seriously?

It's a good time waster if you can get it for cheap, but otherwise don't worry about it too much. Sonic Riders 1 is a fantastic game and you should focus on getting that one first.
