Help & Editing / Displaying pictures around specific objects?

So I'm back to messing with MM8BDM, and I'm trying to make two Actors : one that, causes music to be played around it and fade away when you get away from it (like a kind of radio) and the other causing a set of pictures to show up on the screen when getting too close to the Actor, and fading when you get away from it.

I've already figured out the first one ; A_PlaySound should do the trick.
But, for the second one - displaying pictures on a player's screen-, I don't know what could be used. Does someone happen to know?

Help & Editing / Random chance for different projectiles

So I'm coding a little weapon, and I'd like it to have a chance to throw something different at random.
Let's say it's normally firing Dust Crusher bullets, but I want it to have a low chance to throw a Knight Crush spikeball instead, and a even lower chance of throwing a Super Arm block instead of the normal bullet.
 How would I do that? I digged into SH' Scrooge code, seeing he has a random chance of summoning Hogales instead of Mobies, but I don't get it all, even when looking at the zDoom wiki..

Help & Editing / White texture rising past ceiling

So.. I'm kinda a newbie to DB2, and I've tried to make a rather simple map for a *secret* project. In DB2's view mode, everything looks right..
but once loaded in MM8BDM, a wierd white texture shows up. Rather than describing, here's two screenshots.

In Doom Builder 2 :

Any idea what's going on and how to fix it? Thanks a lot!

Help & Editing / Creating new Classes?

So, I randomly decided to try making a class, for "fun" and a bit of experience.
I opened up the good ol' Class wad to take a look about how it's done, but it's ..kinda messy, and, even using the guide and templates inside, I can't manage to make a new class. I can't find a tutorial about it either. (no thanks to the search function, who sees "classes" as a common word and doesn't want to search for it.)

Soo.. how do make it so a Class can be chosen in the Player Setup, use a particular skin, etc?

Hi! So following a conversation with a fun guy wile I was playing MM8BDM, I've decided to start making some skins.

First up (and first ever):
-Quote (Cave Story) (V1*) Download!

I know there is other Quote skins existing, but that one is made using the original Cave Story sprites and some edits based on said original sprites. It also comes with custom sounds, so pay attention when you get hit or fragged. I had to fight with offsets for a while, I hope you'll enjoy that skin!

(*May upgraded to be prettier or closer in size to the skins in vanilla when I move my lazy butt, so if you really like that skin, come check back from times to times.)

To do next : Curly Brace!

Help & Editing / Changing Skin sounds?

Err, hi. I'm working on a few skins, and I've noticed in the skin making tutorial that you can specify which sounds to use for a particular skin.
My problem is : there's no other info! Where do I have to put the sound files, in which format, etc?

So, thanks for giving me a few pointers about that, if you can.
